ClimateGate II: Programmers Discover Fudging at East Anglia

by Lisa Graas, editor --

For the past several days I've been paying attention to sketchy reports from computer programmers who've examined the programming used by East Anglia's CRU in climate data analysis and have been reporting that they were shocked by what they found. Not being a programmer myself and not having reliable sources, I left the issue alone. As I suspected, the professionals have done the homework on this story. Now comes the news at last.

John Graham-Cumming says he’s not an AGW skeptic, but he’s becoming a skeptic of East Anglia, thanks to its below-standard computer programming for its climate modeling.

As noted, I've seen several reports from programmers who have examined the East Anglia CRU's programming and who have come to the same conclusion, that there is a "fudge factor" in the programming itself. This man is not alone in his analysis.
