Barack Obama’s close family friends, terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, and top campaign bundler Jodie Evans from Code Pink are top activists with the Gaza flotilla group that attacked the IDF today. Code Pink activist and radical leftist Jodie Evans was one of Barack Obama’s top bundlers during the 2008 campaign.
Aaron Klein, Jerusalem bureau chief for World Net Daily, reports from New York:
The group behind the Gaza flotilla that engaged in deadly clashes with Israeli commandos today counts among its top activists Weather Underground terrorist founders William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn as well as Jodie Evans, the leader of the radical activist organization Code Pink
.
Ayers and Dohrn were close associates for years with President Obama, while Evans was a fundraiser and financial bundler for Obama’s presidential campaign.
Earlier today, Israeli navy commandos raided the six-ship flotilla, encountering heavy resistance and live fire from the activists. Nine activists were killed and dozens of others were reportedly injured, as were several of the Israeli commandos.
The flotilla was organized by the Free Gaza Movement, a coalition of leftist human rights activists and pro-Palestinian groups engaged in attempts to break a blockade imposed by Israel on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
Ayers, Dohrn and Evans’ Code Pink have led several recent Free Gaza Movement initiatives, including attempted marches into the Gaza Strip. Dorhn was in the Middle East just last month on behalf of the movement.
Evan’s Code Pink, a supposed "peace" group, have long been supporters of any and all groups dedicated to the destruction of Israel. The more violent, the better.
It’s also no surprise that Obama’s best friends and neighbors, Ayers and Dohrn have a hand in all of this. These are violent, unrepentant murderers who set of bombs in police stations and military recruiting centers nationwide, as well as bombing the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol building, and New York City police headquarters.
As you may recall, Dohrn, a convicted felon for her part in the violent murder of police officers, is Bill Ayers' second wife. His first wife blew up herself and other members of Ayers’ Weather Underground terrorist organization, while making a bomb filled with nails and other shrapnel that was to be planted at a military dance.
It should be noted that Ayers, a devout communist who has mentored Obama for years, and once encouraged his followers to "kill all of the rich people" is himself quite wealthy. His father, Thomas Ayers was President and CEO of Commonwealth Edison, and reportedly left his murdering terrorist son quite well off when he died in 2007.
Obama’s hatred for Israel, and willingness to work with terrorist organizations that support Israel’s demise is well documented. This is, of course, quite troubling for most Americans, who stand with Israel, unconditionally. Still, even for Obama, this is a shocking revelation, and more proof the man isn’t fit for office.
Obama has close ties to some of the most evil people ever known, dangerous murderers, communist thugs, and demented swine. He does not represent America in the least. Instead, Obama represents the enemies of Freedom and Liberty, worldwide, quite well. He should be forced to answer for all of this. This is simply unacceptable.
Ed Morrissey at Hot Air has an incredible write up about the Gaza attacks, complete with video here and Allahpundit has more here.
Here’s just a sampling of video that can be seen at Hot Air:
Remember, two of Obama’s closest friends are involved in this. They are supporting this, and funding this. Again, this is simply unacceptable, and this act should not be allowed to go unpunished. This is no less than an act of war against our ally and friend, and proof Obama is not a friend of Liberty and Freedom, but is a friend of radical Islam, and terrorism, and unfit to continue as President of these United States.
* Matt Lewis has his pajamas all knotted up because bloggers just don't get no respect. And in Lewis' view, Sarah Palin deserves a large share of the blame for that sad state of affairs:
While defending South Carolina gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley from accusations she had an affair with a prominent South Carolina blogger, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said: "Nikki categorically denies the accusation that was spewed out there by a political blogger who has the gall to throw the stone, but then quickly duck and hide and proclaim he would not comment further on the issue. Quite convenient."
It's no surprise that Palin would defend Haley -- she recently endorsed her. And I have no idea whether the allegations are true or fabricated. What caught my attention was Palin's use of the term "political blogger" as a pejorative -- as if that, in itself, discredits the critic.
This seems to be a trend with Palin, who now mocks bloggers with regularity. During an interview on Fox News, she criticized the media for taking cues from "some blogger probably sitting there in their parents' basement, wearing their pajamas, blogging some kind of gossip or -- or a lie."
She ought to know better. The "pajamas" reference was famously employed as a dismissive insult against conservatives by former CBS News executive Jonathan Klein, who ridiculed bloggers questioning Dan Rather's bogus Air National Guard memos, saying: "You couldn't have a starker contrast between the multiple layers of check and balances [at '60 Minutes'] and a guy sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing."
In that instance, the mainstream media finally did take their cues from bloggers, and in so doing finally got the story right. The blogosphere was hardly intimidated. Out of that episode grew a conservative online outlet, Pajamas Media, run by Roger L. Simon, and Klein himself is now president of CNN, which recently hired Erickson to provide commentary.
On yet another occasion, Palin referenced "bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie to annoy me."
In fairness to the former vice presidential candidate, she has every right to be angry with some bloggers. She and her family have endured scurrilous attacks, including one from a liberal blogger who "broke" the bogus story of her divorce. Worse yet, right after her nomination as John McCain's running mate, Andrew Sullivan of The Atlantic invented a new type of "birtherism" when he went on a bizarre and misguided quest to prove Trig was not really Palin's baby. Sullivan went so far as to demand a paternity test.
On the other hand, it was blogger Adam Brickley (my former intern) who began the "Draft Sarah Palin" blog -- and was widely credited with helping to bring her, then an obscure governor from a distant state, to the attention of the McCain campaign. One could argue that Palin owes her fame to a blogger.
One could also add that Sarah Palin has hired bloggers to be trusted members of her team, as Dan Riehl points out here. One could also say that the governor, when she criticizes the legacy media, doesn't digress to the point of mentioning that there are still some reporters and media outlets (though most of them are local, not national) that are fair and balanced, though they are largely a disappearing breed.
Lewis would prefer that Gov. Palin perhaps explain the difference between "good" bloggers and "bad" bloggers every time she mentions those who blog. She of course has neither the time nor the inclination to point out the distinctions between the good, the bad and the just plain ugly of the blogging genre when she is trying to make a larger point. Besides, what convenient terminology exists to succinctly mark those distinctions?
The governor could break it down by political ideology and only criticize "liberal" bloggers or "leftist" bloggers, but not all conservative bloggers are "good" and not all liberal bloggers are "bad." She has been roundly criticized, remember, by some of the leading bloggers on the right for simply choosing not to attend the CPAC convention and for her choice of candidates to support. We do frequent blog searches in our research efforts at TX4P, and we have found that perhaps the best way to break down the blogosphere is into responsible bloggers and irresponsible bloggers. While bloggers on the right generally tend to be more responsible than their counterparts on the left, there are without question some irresponsible bloggers who lean to the right. Anyone can become a blogger, and there's nothing apart from their own sense of ethics which compels them to at least make an effort to confirm facts or to back up the allegations they make. Again, while the practice of making things up and distorting the rest is more widespread in the leftosphere than in the rightosphere, there are bloggers of all persuasions who play fast and loose with the truth. One can start a blog in a matter of minutes and immediately publish on the web some of the most vile slurs, bizarre conspiracy theories and bald faced lies, and do so without offering a shred of proof or risking penalty of law. Some even get paid for doing so, and we introduce Andrew Sullivan into evidence as Exhibit A. But he unfortunately has plenty of company. A tool and his money are soon parted.
And where are bloggers to find inspiration for doing the right thing? Certainly not in the corrupt and disgraced legacy media, which has undergone a devolution back to the bad old days of yellow journalism at its worst. The old reporting standard of finding multiple independent sources to confirm facts has been thrown under the press bus. The public doesn't trust the legacy media, and they have the good sense not to believe everything they read on blogs as well. When Sarah Palin criticizes "blogs" and "bloggers" her intended audience knows exactly who she is talking about. Too bad that Lewis doesn't yet feel that the common folk are capable of that level of sophistication, but we have high hopes that he will eventually come around.
No, you’re not hallucinating, you’re reading this correctly. The LSM is now fact checking the Wasilla border the Palin’s built to keep unwelcome predators from spying into their house, the Mat-Su-Yan Frontiersman Reports:
The “Today” show called Friday morning saying it plans to come up Monday and do some interviews about the fence Todd and Sarah Palin built on their property on Lake Lucille.
[...]
So the call from “Today,” quickly followed by a similar call from ABC news, seemed curious. The day before it was another national news outlet wanting to know if we had a photograph of the fence. There was an e-mail from Outside asking if the Palins were in compliance with city code.
The AP appointed 11 reporters to fact check the Governor's memoir. Now we have prominent news networks fact checking a fence she built up in her yard.
The hypocrisy here is astronomical. When, in light of the Obama administration's slow response to the oil spill, Governor Palin merely suggested that the media do its' job and question the Obama administration’s close ties to BP, there was an outcry from the left - how dare the Governor question the President.
After the White House released its' statement in relation to the Joe Sestak affair, the left brushed it off as just another day in Washington.
Let’s get this straight; when dealing with the nation’s biggest environmental disaster in history, the livelihoods of thousands of people are at stake, it’s apparently wrong to ask questions. When the White House gets caught up in an alleged political bribery scandal it’s simply business as usual. But when Governor Palin erects a fence to keep a writer who has a record of missing a lot and exaggerating the rest out from seeing a lot and fantasizing the rest - oh, that must be fact checked.
Maybe we’re out of step here, but the unanimous consensus of the newsroom is that we don’t really care if the Palins want some privacy from what they worry might be prying eyes.
Fences have been known to make good neighbors and everybody knows we could use a lot more of those around here. So if the fence keeps McGinnis on one side and the Palins content, why would the “Today” show or ABC care?
Finally, those who are fond of Joe McGinnis might remind him (if he doesn’t already know) that Alaska has a law that allows the use of deadly force in protection of life and property.
At least there is still someone out there in the media with a sense of common courtesy and honest reporting.
Other than Christmas and New Year’s, it’s not often that a holiday weekend concurs on both sides of the pond. With that in mind I was looking forward to this US Memorial day/UK’s May bank holiday weekend. I was looking forward to not having to work, I was looking forward to going out with my kids - though the weather took care of that – and mostly I was looking forward to no Palin bashing stories to debunk in my Google Alerts email account.
Stupid me to believe that reporters and bloggers will honour this memorial day by saluting the veterans rather than using a memorial day message that Governor Palin wrote against her. So when the following popped into my email I was more than surprised:
Sarah Palin Plagiarized Memorial Day Message:
Yesterday the Palin tweeted the following: "VETERANS,not reporters, give freedom of the press.VETS,not politicians, give freedom to vote.VETS,not campus radicals, give freedom to assemble." She did not mention that she'd stolen it from a 1970 poem.
Seeing the source, at first I didn’t really pay much attention to it, and frankly, I don’t really care for this blogger, or even know who he or she is, but the more I was thinking about it I realized that this is much bigger than one single blogger.
This is exactly what the LSM and the Palin bashers are all about. They hide in the shadows ready to pounce on anything Governor Palin says or does, ready to misinterpret it and blow it up way out of proportion.
We’re talking about a single verse out of a renowned poem in a tweet, a platform that’s restricted to 140 characters. Had the writer held their ammo for a mere 12 hours they’d have received the full version on the Governors Facebook page, but why be surprised, the prey was there and the predator was ready to attack. The blogger ends the post with the following:
Does one have to attribute in tweets? We'd say that if you're a politically active public figure with about 160,000 followers it would probably be the decent thing to do.
I don’t know about that, but I guess the standard rule for Governor Palin is that if she reads Humpty Dumpty to baby Trig she must now throw in its origin, lest should the stalker over hear it and accuse her of plagiarizing a nursery rhyme.
My question though, if this is the rule for Governor Palin, what’s the rule for a presidential candidate who while addressing his devoted followers on national television plagiarizesseveralspeeches, does he have to attribute his lines to the source? It would probably be the decent thing to do.
On this Memorial Day weekend salute the veteran who has given you freedom of the press and, while you're about it, how about in honor of the American soldier, you quit making things up.
VETERANS,not reporters, give freedom of the press.VETS,not politicians, give freedom to vote.VETS,not campus radicals, give freedom to assemble
This tweet is a quote from a 1970 poem by Charles M. Providence. May I remind the unhinged critics that Tweets have a limit of 140 characters, and you cannot hyperlink words within a tweet. One cannot provide an annotated bibliography or a APA style citation within a Tweet, but what does the Left care? Governor Palin did it! It's not like the Democrat's 2008 had a vice presidential nominee who has an impeccable record on plagiarism. Oops, say it ain't so, Joe! Perhaps this is yet another case of projection on the part of the Left. The Governor would have needed to severely limit her quote to cite. There is no way it could have be cited without the whole tweet being to devoted to a citation. Anyone who closely follows what the Governor is doing knows that she often sends what I like to call a "warning tweet". She tweets about a particular topic, and then, generally posts something on Facebook within 24 hours. With as much of a political headache the Governor's Facebook posts cause the Left, I would say sending these "warning tweets" is rather charitable of Palin. This Memorial Day tweet is no different. On Sunday, Governor Palin posted the poem on Facebook with quotation marks and clearly indicated that she did not write the poem.
So yet again the Left gets "wee-weed up" again that, in spite of all of her political and communication talents, she cannot defy the bounds of Twitter. Why? Distraction. Our current very Left President is catching quite a bit of well deserved flack over the fact that he is vacationing in Chicago over the weekend, rather than visiting Arlington National Cemetery, as is custom for a sitting President. Heck, even noted liberal Maureen Dowd is crying, "foul" over this.
The very freedoms that the Governor references in her tweet and in her Facebook note are the very freedoms that our troops have fought and died to protect. The fact that these unhinged individuals have the opportunity to spew such nonsense is because of those who made the ultimate sacrifice whom we are recognizing today. To the unhinged Left, I implore you, take the words that the Governor shared to heart. Remember those who sacrificed, just so you had the freedom to drum up another "nontroversy".
If we're going to "take our country back," we'd better be sure we figure out a way to take our children back. The garbage they have been fed is stinking, and I smelled it in my classroom Friday. It took all the strength I could muster to remain calm and handle it quickly and professionally. I managed, but I was boiling inside.
Here's what happened during my second period class.
I always take time to acknowledge holidays and observances. As Monday is Memorial Day, I talked briefly about honoring U.S. military who lost their lives, the greatness of our country, and the freedoms our military provide for us. Then I showed them a short video tribute to our troops with Lee Greenwood's "Proud to Be an American" playing in the background. The students were very respectful during the video, which is saying something considering this particular class.
When the video ended, I was going to my computer to turn it off. However, because I was playing it from my playlist, it immediately proceeded to the next video in the playlist, which was a Governor Palin video. Before I could stop it, the jeering began and spread throughout the classroom.
"Who cares about Sarah Palin?"
"Oh, be quiet!" another student said to the Governor.
"Nobody cares about no Sarah Palin!"
It erupted simultaneously and surprisingly. Laughter filled the classroom.
I was headed to the computer but was totally thrown by the outburst. The co-teacher in the room with me said to the student who asked who cared about the Governor, "I do" or something similar, and the student said, "You do?"
I was simply trying to move on because I knew this wouldn't end well if we stayed where we were. As if their distaste for the Governor didn't run deep enough, another student added to it when he said, "She doesn't like 'South Park,'" which didn't endear her any to his classmates. I corrected the students to tell them it was actually "Family Guy" to which he was referring.
The co-teacher said, "That's because they made fun of her son." The students then had questions about that situation, and we both quickly explained that they had chosen to make fun of the fact that Trig has Down Syndrome. This did grab their attention because we have just been talking about special needs in light of a novel we just finished reading. Last year, I wrote about this novel and how Trig influenced my introduction of it. You can read about that here.
Upon hearing the context of her comments about "Family Guy," one student obviously didn't approve of what "Family Guy" had done and said, "That's messed up!" (A good sign; there is hope!)
I ended the outburst by simply saying, "I know what kind of person she is. Those of you who have a problem with her don't even know why. Now, getting back to where we were..."
I purposely moved on quickly, but my heart was racing, my blood boiling, and my mind reeling. The sad thing about all this is that their reaction was so strong, yet it's true that they personally didn't have a clue why. They couldn't even distinguish between "South Park" and "Family Guy," both of which gross me out personally. Regardless, they not only didn't know which show it was, they didn't know what the situation was.
The other students who were obviously enraged by her brief presence on the screen have clearly been fed garbage, perhaps at school as well as home. This reminds me of my conversation with a student last year who insulted Governor Palin and learned by the end of the day that the very things the Governor represents are the very things she, herself, believes. She didn't seem to know that, though. She did by the time I led her little by little through the facts throughout the course of that day, though! Here's an excerpt of that post where I wrote about that episode:
Okay, now to my point. I started class the following day with a Sarah Palin quote that the students had to journal about. They had to write what they thought the quote means, state whether or not they agree with it, and connect it to The Giver. Then I would call on students to share their journals with the class. The quote was, "I believe the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are least able to defend and speak for themselves." You've probably heard Sarah speak these words. If not, view the video clip here.
As I walked around the room looking over students' shoulders as they wrote, I noticed that the first thing one of my 7th grade girls wrote was, "Finally, this woman says something that makes sense!" She then continued to write about how she agrees with the statement and how it relates to the book in the horrible treatment of the defenseless baby who was released. Reading her paper, I could have let her have it right then and there! Instead, I simply said, "If you listen to her, you'll discover that she makes sense quite a bit." She and I exhanged smiles, and I determined that I would take up the issue with her--wisely--later.

As a person who spends endless hours with students, it saddens me to see that they have been fed nonsense that will not only shape their own lives, but eventually the direction of the nation. The Left has advanced their agenda in part by depicting the Governor and other conservatives as racist, hateful, and ignorant. Those lies have infected our children, and it will take a heavy dose of truth to cure it. It's become increasingly difficult to reach them, but we must continue to fight for America and the souls of our children, whether from the inside or the outside. The game the Left plays has an impact that is frightening and dangerous, to say the least. I don't have all the answers to the questions about how to stop the bleeding in our children. I wish I did. All I know to do is confront the lies when they manifest.
This is precisely why in the fall I fought against the display hanging in the library window in my school district, the display that promoted the Governor Palin book banning lie with the obvious intent to poison our students against her. Read about that battle, in order, here, here, and here. Despite the hate mail that came my way, taking on this battle was the right thing to do. Those who argued that the librarian's actions were no need for concern--and some Left-wing loons actually did make that argument--are themselves party to the poisoning. This spirit will run rampant if we don't figure out a way to fight back, and if the hearts and minds of our children aren't worth the fight, what is?
I have joined the plethora of common sense Americans who have awakened out of sleep and are now crying out, "We want our country back!" But I know we won't succeed without reaching out also to our youth, for they have been targeted, truth-starved, and poisoned. The message of faith, family, freedom, and country that Governor Palin embodies is exactly what our children need. God help us reach them with it.
“Let no neglect, no ravages of time, testify to the present or to the coming generations that we have forgotten as a people the cost of a free and undivided republic.”
- General Orders No.11, Grand Army of the Republic Headquarters, May 5, 1868
This weekend, as we enjoy time with family and friends, we should stop and remember the meaning of this national holiday. Memorial Day is a uniquely American holiday that finds its origins in the aftermath of our Civil War, when our country searched for a proper way to commemorate the many who had fallen in the long struggle to end slavery and unify our nation.
Today, we remember all of those throughout our history and to this very day who gave their lives serving our country in uniform. Our prayers are especially with the surviving family members for whom everyday is memorial day, as they live on remembering their loved ones who died selflessly to protect the freedoms we hold dear.
And on Memorial Day, let us also remember all veterans, past and present, because everyone who wears the uniform and swears the oath is willing to make that ultimate sacrifice for America. So, in honoring them let’s keep in mind this version of a popular poem as we show respect for those willing to sacrifice all for our exceptional country:
“It is the veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.
It is the veteran, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin will be draped by the flag.”
- Sarah Palin
(Enjoy this version of the poem recited by Fred Thompson.)
If you want to know what I, and others, think about Dave Weigel, look no further than right here. This unprincipled fraud isn’t worth a whole hell of a lot more of my time.
Joe McGinniss on the other hand has my full attention. This is the most unhinged, unethical, untrustworthy, bottom feeding parasite, in what can laughingly be called "journalism."
This is a loser who took money from a man, to help him tell his story of innocence in a murder trial, acted like the guy’s best friend, and then for the sake of having a "better story for his book" turned on the guy and got him convicted. Can you get more evil than that?
It’s well documented that McGinniss has been stalking Sarah Palin for some time. A recap can be found here.
It’s funny, now that the Sarah, and millions of her powerful supporters are calling McGinniss out on his deranged pursuits, and turning up the heat on him, he’s crying like a baby. He’s playing the victim card.
If this guy wasn’t such a devious ass, it would be funny. This whack job had no problem going to Sarah’s house, ignoring all sorts of "no trespassing" signs in order to try and give her some book he wrote. (after viciously trashing her in print)
That bit a creepiness happened a while back, but this week, after making a real ass out of himself, the local media decided to pay old Joe a visit and ask him some questions. Oh hell...Joe freaked out! He promised to call the cops if the reporter didn’t "leave ‘his’ property"! Of course, he was too chickenshit to actually come outside, and talked to the reporter through a window. Later on, he was seen putting up "no trespassing" signs of his own. I kid you not.
Like all Marxist-progressives, it seems this freak show can dish it out, but absolutely can’t take it. He’s almost as thin skinned as Barack Obama!
Ok, now that we have established that McGinniss, like the rest of the thugs who hassle Sarah and her family, can dish it out but can’t take it, let’s examine what this loser was allowed, unquestioned by Soros plant Dave Weigel, to spew out.
When a source told Joe McGinniss that he could rent the house next to Sarah Palin's Wasilla, Alaska, home, the author was sold.
A room at the Best Western, not far away, would have been prohibitively expensive. The landlord of this house, meanwhile, offered it to McGinniss for $1,500 per month after a friend of the author recommended him as a solid alternative to the other people asking about the property.
Now remember, this freak bid $60,000 to have dinner with Sarah, (which he claims below he really didn’t have) and stalked her cross country, a few months in a hotel is chicken feed. Plus, you can’t tell me there aren’t either extended stay hotels, or other rentals in Wasilla.
"She was talking to this mutual friend of ours and said, 'I've got to find someone we're comfortable with,' " McGinniss said Friday evening from the deck of the house -- a deck that became famous after Palin posted a photo of it on Facebook this week. " 'My biggest concern is the Palins' privacy, especially the children.' So this mutual friend said, 'Well, you know, I think you're in luck. Joe McGinniss is going to be coming back here, and you couldn't find a better guy, just the right sort of person to move in and guarantee their privacy.'"
"Guarantee their privacy" who is this loon trying to kid! This is a guy has publically stalked Sarah for over a year. Why not just rent the house to Lee Harvey Oswald or Mark David Chapman.
I wonder who the "mutual friend" is? Since fellow pervert Jesse Griffin worships this guy, I imagine Devon, or one of the other thugs played a hand in this. They all hang together when McGinniss is in town looking for more lies to peddle.
What happened next, said McGinniss, came as a total surprise. He had planned to keep the news off the Internet and tell the Palins himself that he'd be their neighbor as he wrapped up his biography of the former governor.
McGinniss had written a Portfolio piece about her leadership, and a critical Daily Beast piece on her book tour for her memoir, "Going Rogue," but he hoped to keep things civil and introduce himself anew to Palin and her husband, Todd.
"'I wanted to say, 'I'm writing this book, but I hope we can just get along as good neighbors, and after that, you'll never hear from me again,'" said McGinniss. "That's basically what I told Todd on Monday when he came over. He didn't really want to hear that.
"He took off on how my Portfolio piece was a bunch of lies, and a smear, and all this and all that, and he said, 'You going to be putting the microphones in now, and the surveillance cameras?' I said, 'Listen, you don't know how lucky you are that I'm renting this place because that's exactly what's not going to happen as long as I'm here. I won't see you, you don't see me, this will be fine.' He talked for a few more minutes beyond that, and he got, I'd say, increasingly hostile. And then he left, and I was still out here on this deck, where I'm sitting right now, when they took that picture for Facebook."
He’s lucky I’m not Todd Palin, because I am not nearly the man Todd Palin is. If I was Todd, and this creepy stalker moved right next door, they’d still be trying to pull me off of him! This action by McGinnis is nothing less than an assault on the Palin family. Old Joe better thank whatever pagan idol he prays to that Todd is so strong of a man.
As for the Portfolio article, you can read it here and judge for yourself. Our readers know the truth about Sarah and her dealings with Big Oil, as well as AGIA, so it won’t be hard to take this one apart.
Sarah said this of McGinniss’ brand of "journalism": "the bizarre anti-Palin administration oil development pieces that resulted in my Department of Natural Resources announcing that his work is the most twisted energy-related yellow journalism they’d ever encountered."
This does not sound like she would be all that excited to have this jackass living within a thousand miles of her, let alone 15 feet, but Joe was "surprised" at this? Give me a break. This is proof of one or two things...possibly both...Joe is either an out and out liar, or so delusional that he shouldn’t be out in public. Again, could be both.
After that happened, McGinniss -- who is hoping to finish his local research for the book by Labor Day -- became the target of fury from Palin fans. After radio host Mark Levin gave out the author's e-mail address, McGinniss got 5000 messages in four hours, eventually shutting down the account. Wasilla police and state troopers are keeping an watchful eye on the place, although McGinniss said no one had come to the house to threaten him on Friday. He simply didn't anticipate the scale of Palin's response.
Oh cry me a river Joe! You and your little Alaska blogger buddies have made Sarah’s life a living hell for almost two years now. You all have harassed her at every step, attacked her children in the most vile of ways, and you’re pissed that you got some e-mail?
Man up you loser!
Having read some of the comments on the various websites covering this assault on Sarah and her family, I’d say you better be glad e-mails is all you got. There ain’t no love for Joe McGinniss among normal human beings!
"I would term this hysterical," said McGinniss. "The mayor said to me, when I chatted with him in his office a couple of days ago, 'You know, if Sarah had the brains that we like to think she has, Todd would have come back and said, do you know who's living next door? This son of a bitch McGinniss who wrote that Portfolio piece. He's writing a book about you. Sarah should have baked a plate of cookies, and come around the fence, and said hi, and laughed about this.' I would have happily accepted a cookie, and then in my book I would have had a lovely scene about how gracious she had been." McGinniss sighed. "She is, in many ways, a very gracious person."
O-M-G! This is wrong on so many levels. Just creepy. First off, if one wants to see hysterical, one only has to look at Joe McGinniss. This guy is crying like a bitch. You don’t see Sarah crying, oh hell no, she’s being a productive member of society, and taking her frustration out on this poor SOB, whippin’ him like a rented mule. I’m quite sure we’ll have more to say on this later.
I find it odd to that Joe thinks Sarah would bake him cookies or something. I can’t figure if he’s that big of an ass, or if he is really that delusional. Knowing the extent of his stalking, again, it’s probably both.
McGinniss said he was offended by the way Palin described his presence next door. Contrary to what Palin said in her Facebook post, he can't see into the windows of the home and he can't hear their conversations. While Palin intimated that McGinniss could watch the family when it went swimming, he said that only the edge of their land near the lake was visible from his property. He was deeply offended by the implication, not thinly veiled in Palin's note and subsequent interview with Glenn Beck, that he would be peering in on the children.
"These little kids, I couldn't care less about them," said McGinniss. "I have my own kids and grandkids to care about. I don't have any interest in Palin's kids. I'm not going to write, oh, I saw Trig run across the lawn, and I saw someone else change his diaper. I haven't been writing for 40 years to wind up on that level. I'm just very offended by this."
Joe, you might not have waited 40 years to write at "that" level, but you sure have ended up at this level, which is as low as one can go.
And if Joe is "offended,".... well .... good, his presence in Alaska has offended millions of people. I guess we’re even.
Palin supporters have argued that McGinniss has made a nuisance of himself by previously delivering a copy of a previous book to the Palin home and by betting on a dinner with Palin in a charity auction. McGinniss said the first encounter was friendly, and the second was a "spoof."
"I just kept bidding because there was nothing else to do and it was fun," he said. "She offered dinner with herself for a price? Well, if a journalist could pay the price, it would be responsible journalism to try and win that prize. I knew I couldn't pay the price, so I wasn't in there as a serious bidder."
A "spoof" huh? What kind of sick bastard bids on a dinner, where the money raised will benefit seriously wounded soldiers, as a "spoof"? Ride2Recovery, the charity, helps our brave heroes who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Their mission is helping men and women, who have lost mobility, and getting them back out there living an active life. This is one of the most noble of causes, and this jerk-off is was playing around? It was "fun to do"?
You know, I went into this piece seriously not liking this reprobate, but now I despise him. This is absolutely the one of the most despicable human beings I have ever come across. This man sickens me. To think this guy would treat something so important as a joke, is beyond the pale. This man doesn't deserve to be treated with even the minimum amount of dignity or respect.
McGinniss said he will limit his interviews on this topic, appearing on NBC's The Today Show next week, before getting back to his own work. And he told the Post that he had been a responsible neighbor, shooing off a pair of Minnesota tourists who stepped onto his property to take photos of Palin's home.
Of COURSE he’ll go on NBC, that’s Obama’s house organ. Jeffry Immelt, who runs General Electric, the parent company of NBC, is one of Obama’s close advisers. Joe can go on NBC and that bunch will lap his BS up just like our boy Dave Weigel has here.
As for "shooing off a pair of tourists" ....well Joe, I imagine those folks would have been welcomed, you’re not.
"Look, this is a pain in the ass for them," he said. "I understand that. If I were her, I'd be upset. I'd be annoyed. But I'd be an adult about it, and I would figure out, okay, how can we resolve this in a way that's not going to make into something that everybody gets obsessive about? By being here I have learned things, and I've gotten an insight into her character, into her ability to incite hatred, that before I only knew about in the abstract."
This is really the pièce de résistance! I mean this is comedy gold. It could be used at the competency hearing before they put this nimrod in the rubber room for good.
"If I were her, I'd be upset. I'd be annoyed. But I'd be an adult about it" Yeah sure Joe, because you’ve proven you’re such an "adult" yourself. Go sell crazy somewhere else pal, we’re all full up here!
I love how this crazed stalker paints himself as the victim, then blames all of the strong reactions from Sarah, and her millions of followers, on Sarah herself. Could this guy be a bigger tool?
Let me tell you something Joe, Sarah is one of us. Sarah is America, and when you mess with America, America messes back. We don’t take kindly to degenerate stalkers, or Good Time Charlies who mess with our troops. You are the scum of the earth pal. The lowest of the low. You may impress that bunch of losers you hang out with when you go to Alaska, but you don’t impress anyone else.
If you think you got it bad now, keep messing with Sarah Palin. Keep messing with America. If you think it’s hot now, just keep it up.
And you Dave Weigel, shame on you for giving this degenerate a forum to spout his nonsense, and shame on the Washington Post for letting you get away with it.
Dave Weigel is standing by his man, providing a forum for renowned "creepy stalker," known liar, and suspected plagiarist, Joe McGinniss. Friday evening he posted a piece called "Joe McGinniss talks about why he moved in next to Sarah Palin" in the Washington Post. Weigel was an obvious choice for McGinniss to use as his 'message man' considering Dave has shown sympathy for Joe's disturbing behavior. Weigel was also taken to task by many bloggers (I'd love to link examples but there's just too many) for his indefensible, defense of McGinnis, and rightfully so.
Weigel starts the article:
When a source told Joe McGinniss that he could rent the house next to Sarah Palin'sWasilla, Alaska, home, the author was sold.
A room at the Best Western, not far away, would have been prohibitively expensive. The landlord of this house, meanwhile, offered it to McGinniss for $1,500 per month after a friend of the authorrecommended him as a solid alternative to the other people asking about the property.
Wait a second... In the last post I wrote on this matter, I quoted Joe McGinniss Jr. claiming that the property owner sought out Joe McGinniss. According to him, the owner, Catherine Taylor did that because she knew he was writing an unfriendly book about Governor Palin and that she did this as some sort of retribution to the Palin's over some financial dispute. Here, McGinniss Sr. contradicts his son's comments and instead says that some shadowy third party initiated the rental agreement. I'll stick with my first and perpetual instinct to never trust the words of a left-wing crackpot. Who set up the deal that placed this jerk next door to the object of his obsession, and his meal-ticket, is still up for debate.
Weigel's piece then says:
What happened next, said McGinniss, came as a total surprise. He had planned to keep the news off the Internet and tell the Palins himself that he'd be their neighbor as he wrapped up his biography of the former governor.
McGinniss had written a Portfolio piece about her leadership, and a critical Daily Beast piece on her book tour for her memoir, "Going Rogue," but he hoped to keep things civil and introduce himself anew to Palin and her husband, Todd.
Okay, first of all McGinniss is not writing a biography. He's writing an attack book called "Sarah Palin's Year of Living Dangerously." The title honestly makes me laugh out loud... It's that stupid. Secondly, the idiotic Portfolio piece was not about her "leadership." That was drive-by, pseudo-journalism at it's worst. Governor Palinsaid that article resulted in her "Department of Natural Resources announcing that his work is the most twisted energy-related yellow journalism they’d ever encountered." Yeah Dave, that's not an honest article about a former governor's leadership, but then again, you're not an honest journalist so what do I expect?
It continues:
So Todd got "increasingly hostile" did he? You don't say... Perhaps it was the Portfolio hit-piece that was Todd's first clue that Joe was there for no good reason. It also could have been the fact that McGinniss told a reporter ""I'm not intending to write a salacious book about Sarah Palin's sex life. But if it's true, I'll find out." Maybe that, plus Joe's location is what upset Todd Palin.
I guess this piece of human trash (Joe) considers getting visibly angry (I'm sure Todd wasn't smiling at the guy) as "hostile." Well good for Todd. I agree with those who have said Todd deserves a medal for 'courageous restraint.' Where I come from, right or wrong, your face would get bloodied for such antagonistic behavior. Joe McGinniss, consider yourself lucky for 'picking a fight' with such good, civilized people.
He goes on:
After that happened, McGinniss -- who is hoping to finish his local research for the book by Labor Day -- became the target of fury from Palin fans. After radio host Mark Levin gave out the author's e-mail address, McGinniss got 5000 messages in four hours, eventually shutting down the account. Wasilla police and state troopers are keeping an watchful eye on the place, although McGinniss said no one had come to the house to threaten him on Friday. He simply didn't anticipate the scale of Palin's response.
I don't think the mayor really said that but if he did, vote for the other candidate next time, Wasilla! Perhaps the good folks at the Frontiersman should ask the mayor next week if he said that and if he did, what the hell was he thinking?
Regardless, Joe thinks a cookie from Sarah Palin would have been an appropriate response to his invasion. He's toying with readers of the Washington Post in more ways than one here. This man is one of those guys who thinks he's smarter than he actually is, therefore he plays mind games with those around him. He's trying to say 'hey look, I'm reasonable, just trying to get my scoop. I was going to be nice to her but her and that husband of hers are just so darn mean, so now I have to write a bunch mean things about her, you see.'
By the way, YES Joe, Sarah Palin is indeed a very gracious person. That's the first time I've seen the truth associated with his words, but when he's right, he's right. I have read many accounts from people who know her and who have met her, that have stated as much.
Weigel's piece continues (emphasis mine):
I highlighted the first part of that statement because I thought it was very telling. Mark that as the second time I have seen the truth come from McGinniss. He most definitely doesn't care about Sarah Palin's children. I imagine the kids aren't going to get to play outside much this summer as he has sort of pushed everybody away from certain areas of their own property. He unapologetically has taken certain freedoms away from these children. It's very obvious to the world that Joe McGinniss could care less about the Palin kids.
Mr. McGinniss should understand as a parent that whenever there is a threat around, a parent's instincts are to protect their young. Joe McGinniss' past behavior of hit-pieces, stalking, and now this invasion are threatening. It is perfectly acceptable and understandable for Sarah Palin's first concern be the safety and privacy of her children. For McGinniss to be "offended" by the notion that he would write at that level is laughable. Consider the company Mr. McGinniss keeps while he is in Alaska. It seems Joe likes to hang around the Alaskan lefty goon squad when he's not stalking his subject or her family. See Rich Crowther'spiece for further details on that.
More from Weigel:
Palin supporters have argued that McGinniss has made a nuisance of himself by previously delivering a copy of a previous book to the Palin home and by betting on a dinner with Palin in a charity auction. McGinniss said the first encounter was friendly, and the second was a "spoof."
"I just kept bidding because there was nothing else to do and it was fun," he said. "She offered dinner with herself for a price? Well, if a journalist could pay the price, it would be responsible journalism to try and win that prize. I knew I couldn't pay the price, so I wasn't in there as a serious bidder."
This is what this man considers "responsible journalism." No wonder I'm sitting here writing about this clown, again! This is another example of mental pretzels being woven by McGinniss trying to cover his own ass for his past behavior. He says "I wasn't in there as a serious bidder," but he bid $68,000! He's just trying to change the subject again and distort the meaning of what he was originally doing.
He said "She offered dinner with herself for a price?" Way to cheapen an auction for a wounded warrior fund, Mr. McGinniss. Then again, I wouldn't expect someone from his background to appreciate a military charity. Instead he makes a underhanded, snarky, sexist comment insinuating Governor Palin was offering herself "for a price." This guy is a scumbag through and through.
Weigel ends it:
McGinniss said he will limit his interviews on this topic, appearing on NBC's The Today Show next week, before getting back to his own work. And he told the Post that he had been a responsible neighbor, shooing off a pair of Minnesota tourists who stepped onto his property to take photos of Palin's home.
There's that 'inciting hatred' meme again like we heard from Junior McGinniss the other day. Lefty, mud-slinging apples must not fall to far from the tree.
Mr. McGinniss has no idea who the Palin's are. He is testing their ability to put up with an enormous amount of crap from a deranged old man with nothing better to do than to harass a family that just so happens to have a mother that doesn't agree with him politically. He's trying to see if he can push their buttons enough to provoke a reaction he can write about in his book and generate more publicity for it's release. He is going to fail and he is going to fail miserably. The Palin's will not be provoked to do anything and he is simply going to have to rely on his old method of lying.
Joe McGinniss... Go to Hell and take Dave Weigel with you.
As I highlighted earlier this week, Joe McGinniss has an unhealthy obsession with Governor Palin and has completely misrepresented Governor Palin's work with the transcontinental pipeline. For someone who threatened to call police ABC reporters who stopped by his temporary home , McGinniss certainly has no problem speaking with Washington Post "reporters" or NBC Meet the Press "journalists". Let's take a look at this WaPo "story" piece-by-piece, shall we?
McGinniss claims " [m]y biggest concern is the Palins' privacy, especially the children". If that is the case, you do not rent a place that is only "15 feet away... overlooking [the Palin] children’s play area and [Palin's] window". Additionally, McGinniss's publisher claims that he " will be highly respectful of his subject's privacy as he investigates her public activities". Investigation of her "public activities" do not require residence next door! Anything that he could investigate from next door alone would be considered private activities. If he truly was concerned with the Palins' privacy, he would have chosen a different method of researching his "story", just like legitimate journalists do--interviews with willing participants, previous articles and news stories, and observation of the Governor's public events!
McGinnis also claims that he was going to tell the Palins himself that he was going to be their summer neighbor, and that he intended to keep such news off of the internet. How did McGinniss not have the opportunity to introduce himself to the Palins? He obviously had time to relax on the porch, as the Palins captured on camera. If he had time to do that, he would have time to properly introduce himself to the Palins.
Additionally, McGinniss misrepresents Governor Palin's auctioned dinner going to support Ride2Recovery as some sort of auctioning of herself for whatever purpose the highest bidder wants. McGinniss spewed, "She offered dinner with herself for a price? Well, if a journalist could pay the price, it would be responsible journalism to try and win that prize. I knew I couldn't pay the price, so I wasn't in there as a serious bidder." Responsible journalism? Responsible journalism is ethical journalism--a bit of an oxy moron these days. Ethical journalism is asking the appropriate fact-driven questions in the correct manner. It isn't where a "journalist" exploits a charity event to exercise his agenda. Regarding McGinniss not being able to pay the price and not being a serious bidder? Not exactly the truth. McGinniss's bid was $60,101.01, not too far off of the winning bid. For someone who claims to not have been a "serious bidder", McGinniss certainly made a serious statement to the Alaska Dispatch about his intentions saying ""I'm going for the knockout blow!" and I've already promised at least 40 people that if I win I'll bring them with me".
The real kicker is McGinniss's supposed understanding of the Governor's frustration with his presence as a neighbor, yet he goes out of the way to insult and misrepresent the Palins:
"Look, this is a pain in the (expletive) for them," he said.
If he truly recognized the annoyance that the Governor and her family may feel, he would understand her expression of concern for her family's privacy through Facebook and radio interviews and would not accusing of not acting like an adult. Governor Palin has simply spoken about her desire to have her family protected. She hasn't even spoken about her concern that McGinniss may write something untoward to her. McGinniss calling others "obsessive" is both a serious case of projection and the pot calling the kettle black. McGinniss is the one who has said in the past that, "I'm not intending to write a salacious book about Sarah Palin's sex life. But if it's true, I'll find out". And McGinniss expressed outrage over how Todd Palin spoke to him? With statements like that, it's no wonder that Todd took time to speak to McGinniss, and of course, there is no evidence, other than McGinniss's claim, that Todd shared such words. It is no surprise that the Palins and their friends were so quick to get a fence built to give themselves greater privacy. Regarding Governor Palin's supposed inciting of violence? There is only evidence to the contrary! The Palins response was one of swift practicality in protection of their family. Even in McGinniss's claim of Todd Palin's words, there is no mention of violence by any means. Even politically, Governor Palin's political rhetoric has been one of action through one's voice and vote, not through violence.
Last night Governor Palin posted a rather effective take down on Facebook of President Obama's press conference yesterday. Over the past several weeks, it has become pretty clear how differently President Obama and Governor Palin would handle such a tragic oil spill and how they differently would deal with the oil industry because of such an event.
As Governor Palin points out in her Facebook post, President Obama took nine days to deploy Dept. of Defense equipment to assist in stopping the leak, 3 weeks for Energy Secretary Chu to bring together experts to discuss how to deal with the spill, and more than a month for approval of sand barriers to help protect the Louisiana coastline at the request of Governor Jindal. So as the President dithered, as he often does with tough decisions, Governor Palin offers the a solution based on what the federal government put in place following the largest oil disaster previous to this one, the Exxon Valdez disaster in Alaska:
The 1990 Oil Pollution Act was drafted in response to the Exxon-Valdez spill in my home state. It created new procedures for offshore cleanups, specifically putting the federal government in charge of such operations. The President should have used the authority granted by the OPA – immediately – to take control of the situation. That is a big part of what the OPA is for – to designate who is in charge so finger-pointing won’t disrupt efforts to just “plug the d#*! hole.”
In another Facebook post earlier this week, Governor Palin offers another solution for how she would deal with such a disaster especially as it pertains to the involvement of oil companies:
In the meantime, let me make a constructive suggestion to help the White House out of its current impasse. They should reach out to the best oil and gas team in the nation and tap into its expertise. I know just the team: Alaska’s Department of Natural Resources, led by Commissioner Tom Irwin. Having worked with Tom and his DNR team as Governor, I can vouch for their expertise and their integrity in dealing with Big Oil and overseeing its developments.
This team’s (and Alaska’s PSIO team’s) expertise on oil spill issues is particularly relevant. We all lived and worked through the Exxon oil spill, and we all committed to the principle that this would never happen again in Alaska’s waters, at least not on our watch. That’s why we created the Petroleum Systems Integrity Office (PSIO) when we saw proof of improper maintenance of oil infrastructure in our state. And that’s why we instituted new oversight and held BP and other oil companies financially accountable for poor maintenance practices. And that’s why we cracked down on unethical and unsound practices by oil companies and their contractors that operate in Alaska. And that’s why I filed a Friend-of-the-Court brief against Exxon’s interests for its decades-old responsibility to compensate victims adversely affected by the Exxon-Valdez oil spill. None of these actions made us popular with oil company management. (In fact, Commissioner Irwin received a message from a North Slope oil company employee that summed up their view of our efforts well: the message told him to “go to hell, but resign first.”) Our relationship with Big Oil may have been perceived as contentious because we always put the interests of Alaskans first. (emphasis mine)
One thing that has stood out to me since Governor Palin come on the national scene nearly two years ago is her use of the word oversight. For Governor Palin, it is not about heavy handed regulation or government putting "their boot on the throat" of an oil company. It is about ensuring that an oil company or a company in any industry is accountable for their actions and accountable to the consumer. It is indicative of Governor Palin's philosophy of government. In Going Rogue, Governor Palin writes, " the role of government is to protect us, not to perfect us". This is quite the opposite of what President Obama is doing. He has decided suspend drilling in the Arctic and has canceled leases in the Gulf and off the coast of Virginia. This is an example of the government trying to perfect. If no drilling is allowed, there is no chance for spills or environmental problems. There is "perfection"-- the absence of accidents. However, as Governor Palin, suggests government has a role of oversight and insurance of accountability as she has suggested with the federal law and the Alaskan office. The occurrence of car and plane accidents have not stopped people from driving or flying, nor should the occurrence of a drilling accident cause the halt of drilling. As Governor Palin has suggested, drilling must continue, and safer opportunities exist:
Please, Mr. President, hear me on this, if nothing else: if it’s your administration’s decision to suspend the leases of new oil field developments off the coast of Alaska in response to the Gulf’s deepwater spill, and you still remain committed to locking up ANWR and other oil-rich lands, please know you are making a mistake. Unless we continue to drill here and drill now, we risk digging ourselves deeper into the hole created by our continued dependence on foreign energy – which often comes from regimes that care nothing for our prosperity or security, and even less for global environmental safety.
We need affordable, reliable, secure, environmentally-sound, and domestically-produced energy, but this administration continues to lock up federal land filled with huge energy reserves. If there is to be a moratorium on offshore development, then it’s time we stop ignoring our safest options for domestic development – places like ANWR and NPR-A in my home state of Alaska.
It also must be pointed out that suspending a large portion of drilling does not only make America more dependent on foreign sources of energy, it also affects our economy and American jobs. This idea seems to be missed by a President who has said he has a "laser like focus" on jobs, yet he has destroying opportunities in Alaska and the Gulf region, two areas dependent on oil jobs. Governor Parnell of Alaska suggests that suspension of leases will cost hundreds of Alaskan jobs.
As if we did not already see the distinct difference between President Obama and Governor Palin, the differences are abundantly clear now. President Obama dithers and hesitates in his response to the oil spill, then he removes opportunity for American jobs and energy independence. Governor Palin, on the other hand, suggests proven, timely solutions for dealing with the spill, the oil companies, and our nation's goal of energy independence.
As promised, a complete update on what is going on in Sarah Palin’s world. We were writing this earlier when we got yet more wild news, and felt we needed to get out it out there. Believe me, this was worth the wait!
To recap:
Sarah Palin has a new neighbor. Stacy Drake details that wonderful moment here.
Washington Post hack, Dave Weigel, proves to the world he’s a total douchebag, as we wrote here.
Ruth Marcus felt left out of the douchebaggery, as Stacy Drake points out here.
We found out that Joe McGinniss has a habit of stalking subjects of his so-called "journalism" and betrayed an innocent man, who is now in prison for murder, after being paid to help the guy, and pretending to be his friend. This one is a must read, here.
As Stacy Drake reported, here, things got even weirder with what we know is a load of BS, supposedly coming from the Palin’s neighbor.
OK, With that out of the way, let’s get to some new stuff, as of Thursday night.
Wednesday Sarah did a couple of radio interviews, starting with Glenn Beck:
The big news coming out of this interview is the fact Sarah will be appearing at Glenn Beck’s 8/28 Restoring Honor celebration in Washington, D.C.. You can bet she will add greatly to the event.
We all loved George Bush. The guy wasn’t perfect, but overall a decent man. Our biggest gripe with President Bush is he never fought back against his haters. Until Sarah came along, I had never seen so much hatred aimed at one individual. Of course, that’s all the left has, a burning hatred for anyone and anything that doesn’t conform to their diseased ideology, and of course, they lie about the subject of their hatred. If somehow hatred and lies were outlawed, Marxist-democrats would simply cease to exist.
The left can’t compete in the marketplace of ideas, so all they have is their hate to fuel them.
Bush would never fight back, something that frustrated his loyal supporters to no end. Even when they made movies, wrote plays and books, all detailing their fantasies of Bush’s assasination, Bush said nothing. Can you imagine that thin skinned loser we have in the White House now being so strong? Me neither.
Bush thought it beneath the dignity of the Office of the President to engage in that sort of thing. Bush respected the presidency so much, he wouldn’t make it about him. While that is commendable to no end, the entire nation would have been to the better had Bush spent just a little bit of time fighting these rotten leftists.
Sarah Palin doesn’t have this problem. She is a born fighter. Sarah Palin is a fearless warrior. She doesn’t take nothin’ off of nobody. I think that’s why Sarah resonates with Americans so strongly. America loves a fighter, and loves a winner. Sarah Palin is both. America respects a fighter. America NEEDS a fighter!
After Glenn Beck’s show, Sarah was a guest on the Sean Hannity radio show. Of course they talked about her pervert stalker, and the nonsense surrounding all of that, but they also talked policy, especially energy policy, and of course British Petroleum, and the oil spill.
Just to remind readers, Sarah has first hand experience in dealing with exactly the kind of situation those in the Gulf are facing. As an oil and gas regulator, Sarah was tough on the oil companies, and as Governor, she got even tough, creating an oversight agency to keep a better eye on things.
Sarah ended the oil companies’ cozy relationships with government regulators, and officials. In fact, she was so tough on the oil companies, that at one point she was accused of being anti-business. And yet, the lying media tries to paint her as an oil company shill. I imagine Sarah has a good laugh on that one!
Back to McGinnis, the perv, Fox News’ Megyn Kelly went off on him on Wednesday as well.
De-licious!
Now for some updates on McGinniss:
If you remember, Ben Smith over at Politico shared an e-mail from McGinniss’s son, that intimated the old man had lost it. Now Ben reported this as straight up fact. Today he is backpedaling and claiming it was sarcasm.
I’m not a trained "journalist" or writer, but I know enough to let people know, when quoting someone else, whether we are dealing with sarcasm, or not. After all, Smith is the one who had the contact with Joe Jr., not us. Smith has had further contact with Joe Jr., and as Stacy Drake reported in her "neighbor" report above, Joe Jr’s credibility isn’t a hell of a lot better than his creepy stalker dad’s!
Let’s take Ben Smith at his word though. There is still plenty of proof that McGinniss is a creepy stalker, and most certainly hung up on Sarah Palin. We told you that McGinniss tried to bid on dinner with Sarah, offering up $60,000. There is a lot more.
When Sarah was on her book tour, freak boy followed her around. He "broke" the big story that yes, Sarah Palin flies on airplanes. Just how deranged is this idiot? He went crazy reporting on the fact that during Sarah’s book tour, she wasn’t on the Bus 24/7. This "astonishing revelation" was, of course, reported breathlessly by the lamestream media, showing what morons the entire bunch are.
As normal people understood, .... they could actually read her daily schedule....and understand the words....Sarah’s schedule was hectic. Many days she had two or three signings in one day, and many times these signings were quite a distance a part. Far enough apart that there was physically no way one could drive there in the time allotted to travel. It was beyond ridiculous for anyone to make something of this, but this is how pathetic these people are.
Besides shadowing Sarah on the book signing trail, McGinniss also showed up in Alaska, ignoring all of the "no trespassing" signs (which makes the story below even funnier) and tried to give Sarah one of his books.
Knowing all we know about Joe McGinniss, so far, it’s safe to say he’s a freak, a creep, and a stalker. But it gets better.
Josh Painter reported today that some reporters came calling on Joe:
Joe McGinness to ABC News: "Get off my property!"
ABC News discovers that stalker Joe McGinness is also a hypocrite:
McGinniss, who is being accused of invading the Palins' privacy, himself claimed that his was being invaded when ABC News knocked at his door to get a comment.
"Get off, you're trespassing," McGinniss said through his window. "I am going to have to call the Wasilla police. Get off my property, now, I am going to put in the call."
It's not your property, Joe. You're just renting.
This little stunt of yours was a lot of fun for you and your leftist fellow travelers when you thought you could intimidate Gov. Palin and her family wasn't it? But when the shoe went on the other foot, you sure lost your cool fast! That's the thing with "progressives." They love to dish it out, but they can't take it.
How delicious is THAT! What a jackass this guy is. Josh has more, with video, here.
ABC News reporter Neal Karlinsky goes to the house McGinniss is living in and tries to talk to him. McGinniss tells Karlinsky to "get off my property," and threatens to call the Wasilla police! He has now even posted "No Trespassing" Signs on the property!
This degenerate had absolutely no problem ignoring Sarah Palin’s no trespassing signs in his deranged pursuits, but expects people to respect the ones he’s thrown up. This reminds me of an interviewer who cornered Obama’s buddy, murdering domestic terrorist William Ayers to ask some questions. Now bear in mind, this is a guy who bombed police stations, and is married to a convicted cop killer. What do you think happened? That tool called the police, of course! Incredibly, they even showed up.The left has no shame.
McGinniss is a real loser, for sure, but this story just gets better. (Or worse, depending on how you score it) .
Rich Clowther at Conservatives4Palin deliciously skewers our buddy Dave Weigel, but also reports some not so shocking detail on who this loser McGinniss hangs with when he is in Alaska. While absolutely wearing Weigel out, Clowther writes:
Well the Palins see things differently, Mr Weigel. They have a different perspective, one borne of distressing, real life, personal experience.
They and their children have lived through the unprecedented harassment of the last 20 months: the email hacking which led to frightening phone calls to their eldest daughter in the middle of the night; the 26 ethics complaints which stifled the Palin Administration and came to nought; the deliberately malicious attempt to cause controversy and split a family with fabrication about divorce; the attacks on their most vulnerable child; the lie that the Palins were under federal investigation for embezzlement; the burningn of their church; the hate speak Trig Troofing conspiracies of Andrew Sullivan and Jesse Griffin and a notorious European blog; the misogynistic invective of a local Alaska Democratic Party office holder.... they’ve lived through all that and more David Weigel… and could perhaps be forgiven that they seem inclined to be wary, less magnanimous than you, less inclined to exercise equilibrium.
When Joe McGinniss moves in next door they don’t see that action as divorced from the context of the previous 20 months, as you appear to do, Mr Weigel.
Sure they remember that as an investigative journalist McGinniss has been critical of their mother… but, unlike you, perhaps they also remember who Joe’s friends are, with whom Joe chooses to socialize when he visits Alaska:
I [Jesse Griffin] found the table that our host Phil Munger had reserved for us and sat down with some of his other guests, who I did not know, but who turned out to be fans of both IM and Mudflats. (Oh did I mention that AKM was with me?)
Soon I was introduced to author Joe McGinniss, who is up here researching HIS Sarah Palin book, and who also turned out to be a huge fan of both AKM's and I. (I swear I will NEVER get used to hearing that.)
Mr. McGinniss entertained us with tales of the colorful characters he has met while doing research for the book he is currently working on and back in the 1970's for his novel Going to Extremes.
Readers will wish to avoid opening this link to theimmoralminority but they (and the Palins) know all about those with whom McGinniss hangs out,
• The liberal Alaska blogger and Palin-hater Jesse Griffin (who attacks the Palin family every day, and tells his readers he knows that Sarah Palin is not the mother of her fifth child, and who advocates the even more lunatic conspiracy that there are in fact three different versions of her fifth child)
• The local Alaska Democratic Party office holder and Palin hater Phil Munger (who tells his readers that Governor Palin is a slut and a whore)
• The Alaska based Huffington Post correspondent and Palin hater Jeanne Devon (who has accused the Palins of being tax cheats, and who is BFF with Alaska based blogger Shannyn Moore, the person who announced mendaciously on MSNBC that the Palins were under federal investigation)
… and knowing all this about Joe McGinniss and the "despicable" company he keeps, when he turns up next door the Palins instantly feel less safe in their own home, Mr Weigel.
Ahhh, the circle of life, and dirtbags, is complete.
You can read the whole thing here. It’s worth it, just to read the Weigel take down!
These reprobates and malcontents, are the people who were given access to the Huffington Post, and MSNBC, so they could publish lies, and hate with ease. They were also the ones who recruited people to file all of the bogus ethics complaints against Sarah, all of which she was found innocent of any wrong doing.
Of course, these are the people who cost the Alaska taxpayers $2 million dollars, as the state had to investigate all of this nonsense. This was one of the reasons Sarah pulled the plug on her job as Governor. The people of Alaska simply didn’t deserve to be robbed of their hard earned money by a bunch of Marxist filth.
Our buddy Doug Brady, also from C4P has even more to add, going back to the house deal:
The claim that the Palins owe their neighbor money is exceedingly difficult to believe on several levels. McGinniss claims the Palins owe the neighbor for "renovations" she performed for them. Really? Along with a few buddies, Todd built the Palins' home. The Palins are currently adding a 6,000 square foot addition with Todd heavily involved in the construction. In addition, Todd has managed to put up a rather large fence in just a couple days. Todd Palin doesn't strike me as someone who would need help with "renovations" from an absentee neighbor. He seems to be managing just fine without said neighbor's renovating expertise, wouldn't you say?
Moreover, are we really expected to believe that the Palins stiffed their neighbor for a bill and we're only finding out about it now? We're to believe that the neighbor was so angry over this that she sought out Joe McGinniss to get payback instead of running straight to the media (or at least the leftist bloggers in Alaska)? She could have been a folk hero to Keith Olbermann's seven viewers. But if she was really interested in collecting money from the Palins, she could have simply answered her phone.
[...]
To sum this up, the Palins rented the house last summer to avoid the very situation in which they find themselves this summer. Further, the Palins repeatedly tried to contact the neighbor all winter to rent the house again this summer or, if possible, buy the property. Despite these efforts, the Palins could not get the absentee neighbor to return their calls. Hmmmmmm. Now I'll admit to having no bill collecting experience but, it seems to me, that if someone owed me money and they were calling me, I'd take the call. But that's just me...
It's pretty clear that the entire tale of the Palins owing a neighbor money for some unspecified renovations is ludicrous on its face. Does anyone seriously think the Palins don't pay their bills? Even Ben Smith appeared to question the veracity of the neighbor's claim by updating his post to note the Palins repeated attempts to contact her:
UPDATE: Palin told Glenn Beck yesterday that her husband had been "trying to get hold of [the neighbor] all winter long" to ask about renting or buying the place, in part "for fear of something like this happening."
Mr. McGinniss, through his son, appears to be trying to change the subject from his bizarre behavior. Conduct which has even been criticized as "outrageously, unnecessarily intrusive" by a left-wing Palin-critic at the Washington Post. Stalking is the only accurate term to describe the following actions undertaken by Mr. McGinniss: illegally ignoring the Palin's no trespassing signs to hand deliver books, outrageously bidding for the Ride2Recovery charity dinner so he could harass Governor Palin, chasing Governor Palin at book signing(s), and now this latest stunt.
I have to ask readers. If you had to put up with one tenth of the crap the Palins have to put up with, would you still be able to be the warrior Sarah is, and never back down? I wonder if the GOP establishment show ponies could handle it.
I’m with Glenn Beck on one thing for sure. Todd Palin deserves some sort of an award. You must know the urge to grab a few of these devils by the neck and just beat the hell out of ‘em is hard to suppress. Todd is a much better man than I, for sure. As Sarah says, he has the patience of Job.
We cheer for Sarah daily, celebrate her grit, and determination. I think we should all raise a glass every now and again, and toast Todd Palin, he’s earned it!
As delicious as all of the above is, I saved the desert for last.
Since the Washington Post’s "Conservative Republican Insider" Dave Weigel, decided to attack Sarah Palin for being so rude as to defend herself and her family, we've hit him pretty hard already, which we linked to above. We stand by the assertion that Weigel is a first class a-hole. A complete and total loser. Now, we can add scumbag and liar to his resume.
Both Red State’s Erick Erickson, and Dr Melissa Clouthier went after Weigel hard, and both smack downs are epic, but I came away with a couple of things.
Again, Weigel tries to pass himself off as the "Conservative Republican Insider." Erickson outs the guy though. It seems that Weigel voted for Al Gore, John Kerry....who served in Vietnam, and Barack Obama. I know a lot of real Conservatives, and absolutely none of them would vote for that axis of evil.
Erickson points out that Weigel once wrote for publications funded by Nazi collaborator, and self-proclaimed "owner of the democrat party" George Soros. This is Dr Evil himself. Ian Fleming’s Ernst Stavro Blofeld come to life. If Weigel wrote for him, he’s no conservative, he’s a plant, a phony.
Erickson writes:
In fact, if you go through Dave’s archives you’ll find a slew of stories from the most recent one as I write
to others that no one on the right really cares about, but people on the left who see the right collectively as fringe will eat up. And that’s the whole point of why he’s there.
There’s nothing unique about this situation. If the job is to cover the right from "inside the conservative movement," that’s not actually happening. It’s like they put Weigel in a gorilla costume to infiltrate some gorillas in the mist and he stumbled into the wrong camp and is now reporting on activity completely unrelated to what actually matters. Never mind that the Washington Post’s online coverage of conservatives reflects a view that gorillas are more civilized than conservatives. And never mind that Weigel’s reporting is clouded with the groupthink you get among up-and-coming self-styled thinker/journalists who live together in D.C., are out to have an impact, but have never lived outside the clique.
Insular groupthink journalism isn’t just useless because it doesn’t talk about what’s really going on, but because it only exists to coo at the pet ideas of the epistemic closure elites, usually preceded by a Media Matters press release to help direct their path.
Sure, Dave Weigel is a nice guy. But don’t treat his reporting from "inside the conservative movement" as serious when he clearly is not on the inside. He’s there because of what he wrote for publications funded by Tim Gill and George Soros, he’s there to track the fringe, to make the fringe look like the middle, and to dig in on agenda-based topics which kowtow to the narrow views of DC elites. His smarter readers know that’s the case, and are just there to enjoy the ride — the only one who seems to think otherwise is the adolescent naif Ezra Klein, late of the Center for American Progress, who doesn’t have any journalistic incentive to be objective toward the right or even passably fair.
Dr. Clouthier writes:
Like Erick, I like Dave Weigel–in the same way I liked the trained Siberian Tigers at the Sigfried and Roy show: they look interesting and exotic, but are extraordinarily dangerous–as poor Roy learned the hard way. A journalist is a wild animal with an appetite for conservative meat and should be interacted with that way–always.
I do not expect Dave to be unbiased or fair. I do not expect him to defend a conservative point-of-view, ever, and therefore, I’m not disappointed or offended when he snaps off some pithy, demeaning, diminishing remark about conservatives or conservatism generally.
When he says something sufficiently irritating, I might respond, but mostly, I suppress the urge as it’s useless. Joking at a conservative’s expense and yucking it up is easy peasy. Everyone does it. So trendy.
So no, I don’t take Dave Weigel seriously. I think he’s a gifted writer and has interesting insight. He has an sophisticated mind and I enjoy talking to him. But he’s as ideologically left as the rest, he’s just willing to lower himself to hang with the natives from time to time. And he’s welcome to do so. Conservative people treat him with more kindness because he is willing to at least publicly view conservatives as a species of human. When it comes down to it though, his reporting sounds like reports from the out-back bush.
It would be fascinating to see what conservative, inside the conservative mind, reporting would look like. Too exotic for the Washington Post, that notion. Better stick with blogs.
Fascinating stuff, for sure. You can read more here.
Weigel is a phony, a fraud. I’ve never been a fan anyway, but it’s quite aggravating to see this clown try and pass himself off as one of us. (or at least claim to cover us "from the inside") What’s despicable though is the way he attacked Sarah Palin for simply standing up for herself and her family when being assaulted by a deranged stalker. Tells you all you need to know about Dave Weigel.
Stay tuned, I’m sure there will be more to talk about as this saga continues
