At least week’s revved-up Anchorage rally for Joe Miller I spoke to the independent, inspired crowd about the need to change Washington so Alaska can finally develop our natural resources to help secure the union. In the discussion, of course, the fact was made that our strategic location on the globe is key to resource development, military security, and transportation and shipping lanes boosting export opportunities, etc. And naturally I included a riff on the fact that you can actually see Russia from Alaska, because apparently only Alaskans know it’s true. Anyway, my good buddies throughout the state continue to send their “pictures of truth,” along with the plea to prove my point and put to rest the lamestream media’s mocking of that point. I promised my buddies I would prove it. So here you go. Some friends emailed photos showing how close Alaska is to Russia. This one shows Russia over the shoulder of a tough Alaskan. We are proud of our strategic location as the air crossroads of the world, our rich natural resources, and our valuable shipping and transportation lanes affecting the commerce of Pacific Rim countries. We need a U.S. Senator who will fight the feds for our right to responsibly develop and contribute to the rest of the U.S., so we can help secure the union economically and physically. Miller Should Win Simply Because Lisa's a Totalitarian and the Media Lies

Lisa Murkowski must feel good about herself after costing Dan Fagan his job. And she must really love the fact that the local CBS affiliate which supports her (so much for objective journalism) has been busted trying to help her by talking about ginning up incidents at the Miller rally the other night. Veruca Salt has thrown her last tantrum. She will not get daddy's Senate if the people of Alaska see this for what it is: an unconstitutional power grab.

She lost the primary. She used her power as a Senator to take away Dan Fagan's right of free speech. Her supporters used the media to try to affect the outcome of an election. She doesn't need to have her Senate seat back. She needs to be investigated, as does the CBS station whose reporters were caught on voicemail discussing their conspiracy.

This should be the game changer.

Alaskans need to realize that the GOP establishment is quietly loving the way Miller has run into media problems down the stretch. But throw those media problems out. They don't count anymore. The media lies and you can't believe a damn word that they report.

It's time to forget how to spell Murkowski and go press that button for Joe. The time has come for an example of the type of reform our political system so desperately calls for.

Murkowski & CBS Affiliate Conspire to Influence AK Senate Election

RINO Lisa Murkowski and her media allies continue their tricknology campaign against Joe Miller. Gov. Palin posted on Facebook and Tweeted about Dan Fagan being fired from the radio station where he was a talk show host for his support of Joe Miller. The station does not have the budget to fight Murkowski's high-priced, top-flight lawyers, so Fagan got the axe. Gov. Palin graciously came to the defense of a man who for years has been a bitter enemy insulting her and her family on numerous occasions.

In the early morning hours, Big Government and Stacy Drake reported that a CBS Affiliate conspired with Murkowski to release multiple stories smearing Joe Miller in the latest attempt to influence the election in Murkowski's favor. Gov. Palin re-Tweeted the reports as published by Drake on Conservatives4Palin and Big Government.

Yesterday we told you how disgraced RINO Lisa Murkowski is working her "friends" network in the political establishment to try to steal the General Election campaign away from conservative Republican Joe Miller.

Today the news accounts are much worse. First, Murkowski's lawyers forced radio talk show host Dan Fagan off the airwaves because he was advocating for Joe Miller. Murkowski's legal team, backed by millions of dollars in special interest and labor union money, threatened the radio station they would be sued out of existence if they didn't boot Fagan until after the primary - so as to silence his pro-Miller segments on his radio show.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Reporters at the Anchorage CBS TV affiliate were caught red-handed conspiring about how to ambush Joe Miller and come up with an unflattering story, concoting smears against Miller and then saying someone at the Joe Miller rally would surely have to fit the mold.They even suggested the smear of alleging the Miller supporters were child molesters.

Bristol Palin Secures 10,000 Facebook Friends in 35 Days



Thirty-five days and approximately 11 hours after launching her official Facebook Page, Bristol Palin has 10,000 friends. The milestone was achieved October 31, 2010 at 0108 (1:08 AM) EDT. Bristol had secured 9,000 friends on October 20 at approximately 0900 (9:00 AM) EDT.

Bristol, who is Gov. Palin's eldest daughter, launched her page on Tuesday, September 21 at 1442 (2:42 PM) EDT. She is a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, and an advocate against teen pregnancy for the Candies Foundation.

Michael Grimm today rallied his supporters on Staten Island with a full-capacity crowd at the Renaissance on Hylan Blvd. Present were Guy and Susan Molinari, Conner Buckley, who served with Grimm in Iraq; New York City Councilmen Oddo and Ignizio; Nicole Malliotakos, who is running for New York State Assembly in the 60th Assembly District; NY State Senator Marty Golden, Frank Santarpia, Staten Island Tea Party, and David, the youngest member of Grimm's campaign at age 13.

Following the rally, volunteers walked neighborhoods to place door-hanger ads on targeted constituent's doors. Thus far, the campaign has visited 24,000 homes, made 64,000 calls, with some of the callers speaking to voters in their native languages of Greek, Russian, Albanian, and Italian.

US for Palin Publisher Ron Devito distributed door hangers to 250 houses today in the 55th Election District with another 80 set up for tomorrow in two more districts. New York’s 13th Congressional District covers Staten Island and part of Brooklyn. Governor Palin endorsed Grimm on July 28, 2010, along with John Gomez for NY-2 who ran unopposed and won. She was the first to be acknowledged and recognized during his victory speech. Devito is campaigning for Grimm. For the primary, Devito walked door-to-door in the 60th and 79th Election Districts, installed lawn signs in the 10314 zip code, called voters on primary day and closed the PS 36 poll. In the 60th Election District where Devito worked, Grimm beat Allegretti 44 to 9 - a nearly 5:1 margin. When Devito arrived to the victory celebration, Allegretti had already called Grimm to concede. Watch Grimm's victory speech here. Devito is continuing his work for Grimm, having completed door-to-door walking blitzes in the 34th, 42nd, 57th, 85th, 22nd, and 55th Election Districts.

Yesterday, Lisa Murkowski’s hired guns threatened radio host Dan Fagan, and more importantly, the station that airs Fagan’s show, with legal action for allegedly illegal “electioneering.” The station, unlike Murkowski, who is flush with millions of dollars from vested corporate interests, does not have a budget for a legal defense. So it did what any small market station would do when threatened by Beltway lawyers charging $500 to $1000 an hour – they pulled Dan Fagan off the air.

Does all this sound heavy handed? It is. It is an interference with Dan Fagan’s constitutional right to free speech. It is also a shocking indictment against Lisa Murkowski. How low will she go to hold onto power? First, she gets the Division of Elections to change its write-in process – a process that Judge Pfiffner correctly determined had been in place without change for 50 years. She is accepting financial support from federal contractors, an act that is highly questionable and now pending before the FEC. And today, she played her last card. She made it clear that if you disagree with her and encourage others to exercise their civic rights, she’ll take you off the air.

The concept of “electioneering” involves several issues, but typically refers to campaigning at the polls, which is appropriately banned. Under federal law, it can also mean paying for advertising on broadcast media during a federal election cycle, and it requires disclosures if done by groups and corporations. Fagan used satire to mock Murkowski’s write-in efforts and encouraged Alaskan’s to run as write-in candidates. That is not illegal. That is free speech.

Individuals like Dan Fagan have a fundamental right to speak their minds without threats from the incumbent Senator from Alaska. It is hard to find a constitutional right Americans cherish more than the right to free speech. This was a right Joe Miller, as a decorated combat veteran – a tank commander tested in battle, was willing to die to defend. Dan Fagan has not always agreed with me, but I will gladly defend his right to speak freely on his radio show, which he has often used to criticize me. In fact, Fagan has actually used his radio show to attack and insult me, my husband, my children, and my family in just about every way possible. He was especially insulting to my son, who left for a war zone to defend Fagan’s right to attack our family. But when I was his governor, I never would have dreamed of threatening his right to free speech. I support him in this fight because this D.C. Beltway thuggery, as exemplified by Lisa Murkowski’s latest threat, is ruining our country. The powers that be want ordinary Americans to sit down and shut up and let the ruling class ride us right off the debt cliff we’re heading towards with Obama, Pelosi, and Reid steering the nation’s car. We can’t let them. Now is the time to put aside our past differences and stand up to the establishment powers.

This whole episode confirms again why we need to elect Joe Miller. Lisa, you can sue me if you want (you won’t be the first). But I will not be intimidated from speaking my mind. Your intimidation just empowered us liberty-loving Alaskans. Are you really that out of touch?

Governor Palin yesterday campaigned for Joe Miller before a crowd of 1,500. He is nearing his fund-raising goal of $1.25 million. Meanwhile, the Alaskan write-in campaign soap opera is likely working against Lisa Murkowski who fought to have a write-in candidate list distributed at polling sites. She thus far won that battle, but over 56 angry Alaskans filed to have their names added to the write-in list. Under Alaskan law, a write-in candidate's name is not supposed to appear on ballots.

In response to the criticism that Bristol Palin has received this week from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) for wearing a Mink fur coat and hat in the music video of Alaskan rock-band Static Cycle for their new single “Inside This World of Mine” frontman Jared Navarre was offended.

“This country was founded by living off the land" he says. “And that tradition continues here in Alaska where many still hunt for food and clothing, fish, clear trees for lumber for houses, and drill oil to run the economy. We chose a fur coat for Bristol as a natural way to help portray her role as ‘mother nature’ – nothing synthetic. A nylon jumpsuit obviously would not have represented Alaska or the role. Bristol is of Alaska Native heritage and it's culturally insensitive for PETA to come to Alaska and tell us what to wear."

Regarding PETA Navarre adds, “For those who complain about using animals for food or to stay warm, I would like to challenge their convictions by dropping them off stark naked in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness and see what they do to survive!”

Carl Paladino is Looking for a 'Real Leader'

Carl Paladino, New York gubernatorial candidate, who somehow acquired the "Tea Party Favorite" title, has shown himself once again to be a jerk at best and a complete nutcase at worst. His "angry boy" persona has not served him well up till now, and it's not getting any more promising.

His own self-defeating antics are responsible for the butt whoopin' the numbers show him receiving from Andrew Cuomo. And while I am all for a no-nonsense kind of leader, especially in my state of New York, I would like one that can combine no-nonsense with common sense--at least a hint of it. Not so with Paladino.

Knowing Americans are fed up with the damage political correctness has done, Paladino has tried to sell himself as the antithesis of such, assuming by so doing he is endearing himself to fed up New Yorkers. While refusing to wear the fear the Left tries to impose upon people is admirable, the wannabe governor's words and actions are not quite so admirable. His behavior has been disgraceful at a time when New York could really use a level-headed--albeit strong--public servant. Paladino, however, has too often shot himself in the foot. And again, he has taken a cheap shot at Governor Palin. With Election Day fast approaching, I ordinarily wouldn't ride the Republican candidate's tail too hard, but since he continues to wag it, since he's totally killed his own chances, and especially since he's used his platform to try to take down Governor Palin, he's got this coming.

New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino took aim at the prospect of Sarah Palin pursuing a presidential run in 2012 in an interview with the New York Times published on Monday night.

In voicing his opinion on the matter, the Tea Party-backed hopeful reportedly criticized Palin as a "TV personality" in the making who isn't ready to serve the country in the White House.

It's not the first time that Paladino has stated the view in the wake of whispers about plans in the works for Palin to mount a presidential campaign in 2012.

"We need a real leader," explained the Republican candidate to New York-based station WNYC last month. "Not someone who just wants to go and throw a bunch of words around and proverbs and -- I want somebody that is going to be totally responsible. Someone that is a student of that government."

First of all, the media's obsession with asking politicians about Governor Palin and a 2012 run for the presidency is really telling. They have allowed her to rule and reign in their minds, and they are more concerned about what her next step may be than they are with the issues the candidates have espoused. Even though she has set her attention on 2010, they have visions of 2012 dancing in their heads. One must wonder, with all the hoopla surrounding this topic already, what in the world can we expect should she actually decide that she is running in 2012?

Second, with the mess New York state is in, one would think there is a plethora of more pressing issues to discuss with this man who claims to have the goods to move the Empire State forward. Yet somehow his opinion of Governor Palin as a contender for the presidency manages to find its way into the conversation. He should have his hands full. Where does he find the time?

Furthermore, Paladino's decision to take the low road and demean Governor Palin speaks more about his leadership--or lack thereof--than hers. His words concerning her demonstrate a gross lack of insight and awareness of the issues. He presents himself as a maverick who has come to turn things around, one who can buck the establishment and make a difference in New York. But what he illustrates is he's been missing in action or not paying attention. If he were more aware, he would recognize that Governor Palin has both accomplished more and laid more on the line for the sake of tea party conservative principles than anyone else to date. She has given herself completely to these mid-terms elections--making endorsements, donating funds, traveling the nation at an incredibly busy pace, her life even threatened in the process. She has done nothing less than put her efforts, her name, and her reputation on the line so that she can help restore sanity to Washington. All this while some others have taken the safer route--some too cowardly to make the long-shot endorsements, others making endorsements after Governor Palin's candidates have gained ground (but enough about Mitt).

The Governor is responsible for drawing attention to the danger of Obamacare, demanding we "repeal and replace," calling out cap-and-tax, and heralding fiscal responsibility. She has supported our military, taken a stand for common decency at Ground Zero, and stood on the side of border states determined to keep themselves safe despite the federal government's negligence. The work she has done toward energy independence will outlive each of us. She has promoted a culture of life and respect for those with special needs. Governor Palin has almost singlehandedly brought the revival we now see in this country, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Paladino states that Governor Palin merely throws a bunch of words around. Really? Well, with just one word spoken or written, the Governor has repeatedly raised thousands of dollars to help elect yet another common sense conservative who will serve for the right reasons. And we're supposed to take this guy's opinion of her seriously?

Carl Paladino says he wants someone responsible for president, and apparently Governor Palin doesn't fit the bill in his mind. Is he offering himself up as an exemplar of responsibility? Should she be taking notes from him? Well, let's take a look at his version of responsibility in both word and deed. Then you decide who has more credibility--and sensibility.

Douglas Feiden of the New York Daily News provides some background information on Paladino:

Framing everything in take-no-prisoners terms, Paladino weeks ago predicted his primary win and promised the same against Andrew Cuomo, the odds-on front-runner in the race for the governor's mansion.

"I promise you, I will take down Little Ricky [Rick Lazio], and after that, I will take out Prince Andrew," he said.

Paladino, 63, offered up a healthy dose of threats and invective while dining at Sinatra's, his favorite Italian eatery in his hometown of Buffalo.

"There will be blood on the floor," he said, washing down pork braciola with red wine.

"It won't be pretty, it won't be clean, but I will take them down."

Subtle as a pit bull, but with a fast smile and a mischievous glint in his eye, Paladino will vilify any foe and blurt out anything that comes to mind.

He told building contractors in Ronkonkoma that Gov. Paterson was "a wimp . . . really, he's pathetic." Former Gov. George Pataki? He's a "degenerate idiot."

Tough campaigning is a part of running for office, but Paladino's words work to show him as a loose cannon more prone to insults, profanity, and threats than anything else--and it's simply not working for him. In fact, it's worked against him and killed his chances. Paladino's track record shows his brand of responsibility to involve having no language filter, making serious personal allegations without sufficient evidence, and being commitment challenged.

In addition, he almost ruined his Primary chances when disgustingly racist, sexist, and pornographic emails he forwarded were leaked. His defense? He simply stated that he's not politically correct, that the emails were "just humor." The problem is New York state--and the state New York is in--are no laughing matters, and he has hurt the efforts to turn things around.

If Carl Paladino holds himself up as the example of a "real leader," if he is the standard by which leadership is measured, thank God Governor Palin doesn't fit his mold. Why in the world would anyone ask him to validate someone else's leadership credentials, especially someone with the success Governor Palin has enjoyed? It just shows, again, the state of the lamestream media.

Carl Paladino, who fancies himself a no-nonsense voice, needs to add some common sense to his resume'. Until then, he might just want to say nothing at all. Besides, instead of assessing Governor Palin's ability to handle the presidency in 2012, shouldn't he be spending all his energy between now and next Tuesday finding a way out of the hole he's dug for himself in New York?

Michael Grimm Delivers a Knockout at Debate

NY-13 Congressional candidate Michael Grimm easily won a debate hosted at Staten Island's Wagner College last night. "The 350 person capacity theatre was filled to the brim with supporters from both teams although it seemed that Team Grimm was represented at a 2:1 margin. Topics ranged from the Economy, Jobs, Immigration, Transportation and Infrastructure with Grimm answering all questions head on. On the other hand, career politician Mike McMahon punted a lot of the questions," Grimm said in an email sent a few hours ago summing up the debate.

US for Palin Publisher Ron Devito was at the debate and found that McMahon was condescending and talking down to the audience in addition to dodging and obfuscating questions, and lying about Grimm's tax pledge. McMahon had an army of paid personnel, including union workers campaigning in front of the school - some of these bright workers held his signs upside down. Picture taking and live video were not permitted in the debate hall.

New York’s 13th Congressional District covers Staten Island and part of Brooklyn. Governor Palin endorsed Grimm on July 28, 2010, along with John Gomez for NY-2 who ran unopposed and won. She was the first to be acknowledged and recognized during his victory speech. Devito is campaigning for Grimm. For the primary, Devito walked door-to-door in the 60th and 79th Election Districts, installed lawn signs in the 10314 zip code, called voters on primary day and closed the PS 36 poll. When Devito arrived to the victory celebration, Allegretti had already called Grimm to concede. Watch Grimm's victory speech here. Devito is continuing his work for Grimm, having completed door-to-door walking blitzes in the 34th, 42nd, 57th, 85th, and 22nd Election Districts.

Michael Grimm Delivers a Knockout at Debate



Dear Grimm Patriots and Friends:

The winner, by way of knockout is Michael Grimm! It was a stunning display last night at the Wagner College Theater where Michael Grimm went up against incumbent liberal Democrat “Tax Hike Mike” McMahon. Grimm shined from the opening statement and never looked back.

The 350 person capacity theatre was filled to the brim with supporters from both teams although it seemed that Team Grimm was represented at a 2:1 margin. Topics ranged from the Economy, Jobs, Immigration, Transportation and Infrastructure with Grimm answering all questions head on. On the other hand, career politician Mike McMahon punted a lot of the questions, always looking to an “emergency” as an excuse for raising taxes and increasing spending to astronomical levels.

Michael Grimm took Mike McMahon to task over his record and ladies and gentlemen did the fireworks explode. Grimm slammed McMahon for voting for measures such as the 18.5% property tax hike, congestion pricing, Cap and Trade which the Wall Street Journal has called the largest tax increase in American history and finally the nearly Trillion dollar boondoggle affectionately known as the “Stimulus.” McMahon tried to make excuses and blame the Bush administration for all of the country’s woes but that did not fly with the well-educated and engaged audience that would not let McMahon off the hook easily.

McMahon was running scared and then the question about immigration came to the floor. Grimm’s answer was solid as a rock, “I am for building a fence on the Mexican border. I like analogies, the way a plumber fixes a leaky pipe is to turn off the water flow first and then address the leak, a fence would do just that, allow for the border patrol to first stop the influx of illegals and then work on keeping them out.” Grimm went on to say, “Then we need to go after the employers who hire illegals. Cheap labor might be good for the bottom line but its not good for the country and when the employers begin to get hit with real fines they will stop.”

McMahon tried to keep up with Michael Grimm’s solid answer but failed and when he said he was for “deporting the criminal illegals” Grimm fired back pointing out that, “Coming across the border without papers is a crime, hence the title ‘illegal’ immigrant,” Grimm continued “I know I have been in law enforcement for 13 years so I might have an advantage but they are known as illegal because they broke the law when they entered the country.”

Needless to say, Grimm was the outright victor last night, which gives our campaign all of the necessary momentum to deliver a victory for you on November 2nd. Rendezvous with Destiny

Today is the 46th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s famous speech, “A Time for Choosing.”

The thing that struck me as I watched it again was how relevant its message still is for today’s America. Just as in 1964, we have a president who says “we must accept a greater government activity in the affairs of the people.” And just as then, we hear the voices of those on the left who claim the profit motive has become “outdated” and the Constitution “outmoded.” Back then liberals aimed to build a Great Society in which the state looked after us “from the cradle to the grave.” Today’s “fundamental transformation” doesn’t have a similarly catchy name, but its aims are no different from those of Johnson’s central planners.

And so once again we face an election in which the fundamental issue is “whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.”

Reagan believed that in the end, Americans would always choose liberty over tyranny. He called it our “destiny,” our American birth right. Well, this coming Tuesday, you and I have another rendezvous with destiny. America, let’s go and win one for the Gipper.

"Hi, Rachelle. This is Sarah Palin" : A Personal Phone Call from Sarah Palin- A Post by Conservative Girl with a Voice


(I posted this post on my blog a little over a week ago, but wanted to share it here as well. Enjoy!!!)

When my good friend, Eddie Burke, was invited by the Tea Party Express to address the crowds as part of the group's across-the-country bus tour, I was so excited for him. Eddie is a great public speaker who doesn't pull any punches. I first had the honor and opportunity of getting to know Eddie when I was a frequent guest on his popular Alaska radio show. When he asked me if I could be a correspondent, covering Sarah Palin and national issues, I was so excited and jumped at the chance!!! I always tell everyone it was Eddie who gave me my first, big break. That is why is was an honor to serve under him as his press secretary when he decided to run for lieutenant governor of Alaska this past Spring. Although Eddie did not win the primary, he fought hard to the end, and I could not have been prouder of him. He truly is the voice of Alaska, and I know God has big plans for him. As the spokesperson for the newly formed Anchorage Tea Party, Eddie has made a huge impact and the popularity of this group is undeniable. Eddie's work on behalf of the tea party movement makes him a perfect fit as a speaker for the Tea Party Express. I am excited that Eddie and the Tea Party Express are coming to San Diego this Thursday. It will be fun to get to see him again and to introduce him to my family!!!

When Eddie told me he would be addressing the Tea Party Express crowd, I was so stoked for him. He also told me Sarah Palin, a fellow Alaskan and friend, would be addressing the crowd as well. I told him that he would have a blast and to keep me updated about his exciting experience. I jokingly told him that when he spoke with Sarah that I'd love to talk to her. Little did I know that this little joke would become a reality. While at work yesterday, I received a text from Eddie letting me know that Sarah may be calling me before her speech, I was speechless. This helps to illustrate just how much of a real deal and cool person Eddie Burke is!!! Those of my readers who have the pleasure of knowing him know exactly what I mean. Here is a guy who is about to address thousands of people, and he was thinking about his friend. This is just who Eddie Burke is!!!

When I saw my phone light up about 45 minutes after Eddie's text, I quietly slipped out of the room, as I was at work, and said "hello." I was so ecstatic to hear a familiar voice on the other end: "Hi, Rachelle. This is Sarah Palin." WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I mean, how cool is that??? You, regular readers of my blog, know how much I admire and look up to Sarah Palin. She is the reason why I began this blog and hold the political aspirations that I do. No words could express how much she inspires me. Although I have had the opportunity of meeting her before at her Reno book signing (I was covering the event for Eddie's show), getting this call from her made my day. It was TOTAL AWESOMENESS, as I like to say and definitely one of the BEST... DAYS... EVER!!! Sarah was so thoughtful and genuine. I will never forget her words of wisdom and the complement she gave me regarding my recent blog interview with her daughter, Bristol. I thanked her for all she has done and all she will continue to do in the name of common-sense conservatism. She is simply THE BEST and THE REAL DEAL, that's for sure!!!

I walked away from our conversation so proud of Sarah and so in awe of her character. Here is a woman, a modern-day political rock star who, just before she was to address a HUGE crowd, took the time to call this average girl- a conservative blogger, this Conservative Girl with a Voice. WOW!!! How ironic that I met her for the first time in Reno, Nevada, and she called me from Reno, Nevada.... I believe that everything happens for a reason, and God is using Sarah for His purpose. Her calling me yesterday illustrates just the kind of individual she is. Her genuine, kind and caring nature are three traits that all too often are forgotten in politics. We could use more individuals like Sarah Palin in the political arena!!! Thank you, Sarah, for making this conservative girl's day and for all you do for America!!!

Joe Miller Document Release is a Non-Scandal of Epic Proportions

You have to hand it to Alaska politics. Nowhere else in the world can make such an issue out of online opinion polls or jackets...

After being an outside observer of this stuff for well over two years, I think I have a pretty good grasp on how this works. Conservative opposition (be they sponsored by the DNC or by VECO) use a willing media to hype up some supposed big scandal involving use of the court system to build said hype around, then release of targeted documents in order to build the perception of impropriety. Such was the case in the past with Democrat operatives abuse of the ethics system combined with their use of the media to attack Governor Palin. So it is somewhat disconcerting to see Lisa Murkowski implore those same tactics against Joe Miller in the lead up to the November 2nd election.

Due to a court order, Fairbanks North Star Borough released some of Joe Miller's personnel records after a suit was filed by the Alaskan media following the leaking of records by a former mayor of the Borough, Jim Whitaker. According to the Alaska Dispatch:
The records released by the borough Tuesday in response to a lawsuit filed by Alaska Dispatch and joined by other news organizations add weight to allegations that surfaced this fall about Miller having found himself in hot water while working for the borough.
The media hyped the release of these records to the extent that some Conservatives were getting a little nervous about their contents. Once Miller spoke to the press about what was to be released, that nervousness quickly turned into laughter. After reading all the documents myself, that laughter has turned into eye rolling. I'm sure Murkowski supporters are felling a little underwhelmed right now.

I do have to hand it to the McAdams campaign for trying to stay above this nonsensical mudslinging. Scott McAdams has said he wants to stay focused on the issues. The fact that he and Joe Miller differ on the issues should be what Alaskans are focused on at this time. However, the Queen of Entitlement robbed Alaskans of that opportunity first by entering this race as a write-in, now by distracting voters away from both her record and the important topics facing this nation.

So let's get to the content of the documents, but first a little background...

Joe Miller served in a part time position for the Fairbanks North Star Borough for seven years. He did resign his post, but it was NOT as a result of any wrongdoing on his part as has been suggested by the Murkowski campaign or their friends in the media. Stating in a press conference on Tuesday, the Miller campaign said that after serving the Borough for that duration, it was time to move on. Miller had planned to have knee surgery, which would have taken him out of of the office for an extended amount of time. Plus, there where ongoing policy issues at that time that he disagreed with. He cannot specify the details of those policy issues without Jim Whitaker agreeing to release documents regarding each matter.

The biggest piece of information the media is playing up from these records is the revelation that Joe Miller used government computers to take part in an online poll. Yes, that's all they got out of this entire ordeal. An online poll...

Miller was asked during the last debate about this matter and confessed that what he did was wrong. Shortly after the incident took place, Miller offered to resign and was subsequently turned down by the Borough. His actually resignation took place two years AFTER what I'll refer to as 'online poll-gate.' Miller admitted he made a mistake. He paid a price for that misstep and then he and the Borough moved on with the business of the day.

The Alaska Dispatch and other media outlets are trying to make a big deal out of the fact that the Miller campaign did not release these records earlier. One reason for that is that they did not want to compromise personal information belonging to others, such as private account numbers that were listed throughout certain pages. Joe Miller's political opponents have even gone so far as to accuse him of covering up the Borough job entirely. That is simply not the case as he has posted this position on his Facebook page and on his online, Linked In profile. Joe Miller is an open book. All of his military records are publicly available on his website, and the scrutiny he has come under during this election process has been thorough to say the least.

The Miller campaign stated during a press conference that there were certain inaccuracies and claims made in the records released on Tuesday that they did not agree with. They said that there was a form included in the documents that discussed an issue about an insufficient notice given for his resignation from the Borough post. Miller says he had never seen that document before the release of these records.

The Murkowski camp has also been smearing Joe Miller by implying that he purposely deleted emails that were public record in order to cover something up. First of all, emails on the Borough's server are backed up and can be retrieved at any time. The Borough IT professional verified this. Secondly, according to the Attorney General, not all emails are considered public. Thirdly, an individual who worked for the Borough wrote in one of the emails released in Tuesday's batch that Joe Miller "kept a clean inbox" dealing with his daily mail. It was common for him to delete emails once he was done reading them.

Now back to Mayor Whitaker...

Jim Whitaker, former mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough is the person responsible for leaking these personnel records in the first place. A complaint has been filed against him for releasing confidential records without permission. While Whitaker is a Republican, don't let that fool you. He endorsed Barack Obama in 2008 which led the then-mayor to a speaking role at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. At the time, he was touted as an example of Barack Obama's ability to "bring people together." We see all too clearly today what a farce that notion was.

In my opinion, this entire episode is political theater. As I stated in the beginning, well financed political operatives working with the media build these spectacles in Alaska on a regular basis. The build up of hype. The use of the court system. Then the actual findings, which usually prove that Conservative Alaskans are pretty squared away individuals. All of this is designed to grab headlines from a more than willing press, and distract the voters. As Joe Miller stated during the debate the other night, "the primary election was about the issues, and we won that race. The general has become about personal attacks."

That's what you call a shift in strategy. Lisa Murkowski has already run a race on the issues and she lost. So, she and her campaign made a conscious decision to change their tactics. From labeling the Tea Party as "extremists" to questioning Joe Miller's honor, everything the Murkowski has rested her fate on comes at the expense of completely trashing her opposition. Although she is considered a third party candidate, Lisa is well funded by those who need her to retain her position in DC to continue that cozy relationship with their congressional connection. I hope Alaskans see through Lisa Murkowski and the media spin in relation to the release of these documents. The issues facing this nation are too important to get tripped up by dirty political ploys.

Bristol Rocks on DWTS, Acknowledges Voter Support

Bristol Palin was fabulous on Dancing with the Stars last night. Not only was her technique sound, but she came with great fire--and the judges loved it!

Deborah Starr Seibel reports:
But what everyone in the audience was talking about was the surprisingly strong showing by Bristol Palin, who managed to rack up 23 points for her graceful tango before coming in second-to-last for the marathon. Nevertheless, she wowed with a newfound confidence on the dance floor.

"I realized that if I didn't go all out, I was gonna go home," said Palin, who is known to be painfully shy. "So I tried my best to go all out." The 20-year-old single mom somehow managed to survive dancing in a disastrous monkey costume last week, to say nothing of forgetting her steps.

That survival has led to much speculation that the Tea Party may be warming up their voting fingers in preparation for next week's election by voting for Republican Sarah Palin's daughter. Does Bristol think that's what's going on? "I'm sure they're backing us up," she said. "It's just my mom's supporters."

Added her partner, pro Mark Ballas, "I have no idea what the Tea Party is. But I'm from England and I like tea. So, whether it's a tea party, a coffee party, or any other beverage party — as long as it's non-alcoholic — we appreciate any support we can get."

Of course we're backing her up! Every vote counts--and we're exercising our right! Tonight we'll find out what next week holds for Bristol and Mark.

Paladino in No Position to Discuss Palin's Leadership

Huffington Post today gleefully reported that NY Gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino - whose campaign since winning the primary has consisted entirely of temper tantrums, crass, boorish, and outrageous behavior - said in a NY Times interview that Gov. Palin is a "TV personality" "not ready" to serve as president and not a "real leader." What chutzpah, especially coming from a man whose mouth has spewed naught but excrement throughout this campaign.

Gov. Palin graciously lauded Rick Lazio in a Tweet for pulling out of the New York gubernatorial race after losing the primary so that Paladino would have a clean shot of defeating the Democrat Andrew Cuomo. Paladino chose anger as his campaign strategy and knifing Gov. Palin in the back by these statements was his gratitude.

Paladino snatched defeat from the jaws of victory almost immediately after winning his primary. HuffPo and the lamestream media refer to Paladino as a "Tea Party favorite." Far from being a Tea Party favorite, Paladino is an utter disgrace and embarrassment to the movement and to all Reagan Conservatives. Across this nation, Tea Party favorites - with and without Gov. Palin's endorsement - have been running professional, effective campaigns and getting out the Reagan Conservative message. The left is running scared, except of course in the New York State Gubernatorial race.

Paladino's Campaign Strategy: Anger, Crassness, Outrageously Stupid Behavior

A little review of Paladino's campaign activities is in order:


  • He got into an angry confrontation with an New York Post reporter. Not surprisingly, the normally conservative paper (by New York standards) gave Cuomo its endorsement.
  • He smeared Cuomo as an adulterer, even though he himself was one. This went on for two weeks and there was no discussion of issues at this time.
  • He made anti-gay slurs, also reported here. Apparently, he doesn't recognize that many gays and lesbians are conservative.
  • He accused NY State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver of being a crook and a criminal who should be sent to Attica (a notorious New York State prison).
  • Earlier this year, NY Daily News: Paladino dropped the "F Bomb" on US Attorney General Holder. Embedding the video will violate the TOS of most family-oriented sites. Click the NY Daily News link. The video is embedded there. Go to 2:14 in the video.
  • Paladino has forwarded pornographic and racist emails. Far worse than the video above, posting even the link will violate the TOS of most family-oriented sites. Do a Google search on "Paladino emails." Click the first link, but be forewarned, it is not for the squeamish or easily offended. This is the man who says Gov. Palin is "not ready to serve" - and who wants to be New York State's Governor. Fuggedaboutit!
  • Cuomo is leading Paladino by 37 points in a recent poll.
Paladino Unfit to Lead and Serve


Paladino - via his train wrecked campaign - has all but assured that we will have another Cuomo as our governor, with the same liberal Democrat policies as Mario Cuomo. Paladino with his outrageous behavior, has made an absolute mockery of the gubernatorial race. He has forced Reagan Conservatives to either skip the gubernatorial section of the ballot entirely (tantamount to voting for Cuomo), outright vote for Cuomo, or squander their votes on him.

For our gubernatorial race, we get to choose between a liberal Democrat and a loose cannon boor who generally exercises unsound judgment.

Paladino: Not Ready to Serve, Not Executive Material

Given Paladino's track record in this gubernatorial race, he is in absolutely no position to be speaking about Gov. Palin's ability to lead and serve as President in 2012, or any other GOP 2012 hopeful for that matter. If he wants to find someone who is grossly unfit to serve and who exercises profoundly bad judgment, Paladino need do nothing more than walk into his bathroom and stand in front of the mirror.

On the night of November 2, when we end up electing a liberal Democrat as our governor - thanks to Paladino - he may finally get the message that anger, crassness, and stupidity are not campaign strategies.

Grimm Scores Victory in NY1 Debate

NY-13 Congressional candidate Michael Grimm easily won a debate hosted by Time Warner Cable's NY1 channel yesterday. "Michael Grimm scored a victory at the NY1 Debate! Grimm set forth his platform of lower taxes and job creation, set the record straight and blasted McMahon for all of his lies. Congressman Michael McMahon spent the debate trying to justify his lies and his tax and spend voting record and dodging the issues at all costs," Grimm said in an email sent a few hours ago summing up the debate.

New York’s 13th Congressional District covers Staten Island and part of Brooklyn. Governor Palin endorsed Grimm on July 28, 2010, along with John Gomez for NY-2 who ran unopposed and won. She was the first to be acknowledged and recognized during his victory speech. US for Palin Publisher, Ron Devito is campaigning for Grimm. For the primary, Devito walked door-to-door in the 60th and 79th Election Districts, installed lawn signs in the 10314 zip code, called voters on primary day and closed the PS 36 poll. When Devito arrived to the victory celebration, Allegretti had already called Grimm to concede. Watch Grimm's victory speech here. Devito is continuing his work for Grimm, having completed door-to-door walking blitzes in the 34th, 42nd, 57th, 85th, and 22nd Election Districts.

Michael Grimm Scores Victory at NY1 Debate

Dear Grimm Patriots and Friends:



Wow! It was a stunning performance in last night’s debate by “The People’s Candidate” Michael Grimm. Grimm once again showed all of us in the NY1 Debate against incumbent liberal Democrat “Tax Hike Mike” McMahon exactly why he is the best-suited candidate to represent the 13th Congressional District of New York.



Michael Grimm scored a victory at the NY1 Debate!  Grimm set forth his platform of lower taxes and job creation, set the record straight and blasted McMahon for all of his lies. Congressman Michael McMahon spent the debate trying to justify his lies and his tax and spend voting record and dodging the issues at all costs.



McMahon tried to argue that he is an independent voice however, he could not explain why he voted with Nancy Pelosi 93% of the time and why he has supported the Democrat’s tax-and-spend liberal agenda of stimulus and bailout packages. When asked by the moderator if he thought Nancy Pelosi had been effective overall as Speaker of the House, career politician McMahon dodged the question and responded that Pelosi supported the 9/11 Bill.   Despite repeated follow-up questions, McMahon still would not answer the question.



During the Debate, McMahon admitted that he will not vote to repeal ObamaCare – right after he described how the bill hurts Staten Island’s hospitals and seniors.  McMahon’s refusal to repeal or defund Obamacare clearly demonstrates that McMahon truly supports Obamacare and his weak no vote was only a political trick to deceive the voters of Staten Island and Brooklyn.  



Additionally, Grimm admonished McMahon for his “campaign of lies.” “When you look at my opponent’s television ads, it is all lies against me because McMahon cannot run on his record of tax hikes and failed policies,” said Michael Grimm.  “McMahon voted to raise our property taxes by 18.5% -- the largest property tax increase in New York history.  McMahon voted for more tolls for the Staten Island residents by supporting congestion pricing. McMahon voted for Cap and Trade, which the Wall Street Journal called the largest tax in American history.  And McMahon voted for the stimulus and bailout packages, which failed to create jobs.



Michael Grimm took Congressman McMahon to task about increasing the deficit. McMahon was unable to explain why and instead, chose to once again lie about his position and falsely attack Grimm.  “That is untrue, and to say that we doubled the size of the deficit is ludicrous,” stated McMahon. “When we came in we had a $1.5 trillion deficit so there you got your misstatement and there is your lack of integrity.”   Misstatement? McMahon obviously has trouble reading numbers because unlike McMahon numbers tell the truth.  The Pelosi-McMahon Congress actually tripled the deficit from $455 Billion in FY 2008 when they entered Congress to $1.4 Trillion in FY 2009.  Lack of Integrity?  It is Michael McMahon and his campaign of deceit and lies that lacks integrity.



Tonight is the last debate and it is will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Wagner College. If you have tickets to the event, you are one of the lucky few who get to cheer Michael on in-person however, if you do not have tickets, please join us outside the auditorium at 7:00pm to:
